About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and based in the Company’s Dubai office, an exciting opportunity exists for an Accountant to join the Syrah team.
Key role responsibilities include:
- Completion of month-end reporting tasks, including general ledger reconciliations, in line with the agreed timetable.
- Demonstrate understanding of the end-to-end month-end reporting process through quality of output and proposed adjustments.
- Maintenance of records for Accounts Receivables and preparation of the weekly debtors aging reporting.
- Prepare monthly payroll data and manage other payroll considerations.
- Continuous improvement of current processes and maximising the use of Pronto ERP reports for review.
- Maintenance of the Fixed Assets register.
- Managing accounts payable processes to ensure prompt payments are made to suppliers.
- Assist the business to produce weekly / monthly reporting requirements.
- Strong collaboration with the Group Finance function.
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Tertiary degree in Accounting, with a CA or CPA qualification desirable.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position.
- Thorough understanding of accounting concepts and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with a recognised ERP system, and strong computer proficiency across all Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
