<p><span>The Manager, of Academic Affairs manages complex projects and programs. Provides supervision,</span></p><p><span>manages budgets, and implements strategic plans. Interprets policies and procedures of the Academic Affairs</span></p><p><span>department. Oversees internal and external projects, conducts research, analyzes data, and produces</span></p><p><span>reports. Serves as representative on committees, task forces, and working groups.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Conducts research on various academic topics. Compiles and analyzes data and provides data</li><li>interpretation for the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Student Learning.</li><li>Supervises, mentors, prioritizes, and assigns work to employees; conducts performance evaluations,</li><li>approves timecards, and oversees budget.</li><li>Serves on committees and work groups to assist in planning and operational development as related to</li><li>Academic Affairs and Student Learning. Provides recommendations and insight to assist in reaching</li><li>goals and objectives.</li><li>Interacts with various internal and external groups on behalf of Academic Affairs and in support of</li><li>college initiatives.</li><li>Provides assistance and guidance to faculty, adjuncts, and administrators regarding curriculum</li><li>development and modification. Prepares research and reports when benchmarking potential new</li><li>programs for development.</li><li>Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor</li><li>Draft and edit policy, procedural and guideline documentation relating to the academic</li></ul><p>affairs as directed by the Registrar and/or the Head of Academic Services</p><p>& Registry</p><p>β’ Provide professional and specialist advice to academic staff in Recognised Colleges</p><p>β’ on issues relating to the academic affairs </p><p>β’ Manage projects related to the implementation of statutory and non-statutory Quality</p><p>β’ Assurance and Enhancement activities in the University itself and with the Recognised</p><p>β’ Stay up to date with and inform the Head of Academic Services and Registry and/or the</p><p>β’ Registrar of developments in academic policy and regulatory areas relevant to Higher</p><p>β’ Education, including quality assurance and enhancement;</p><p>β’ Conduct independent research on agreed academic and quality assurance/enhancement</p><p>β’ topics, and compile and present reports to committees and other fora;</p><p>β’ Manage the University governance process for the validation, review, and any additional,</p><p>β’ activities in relation to academic programs </p><p>β’ Undertake other duties as may be specified </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in a relevant field.</li><li>5+ years of experience in teaching or program management.</li><li> Strong leadership and management skills.</li><li> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li> Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure<strong>.</strong></li><li> Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li> Opportunity to work at a dynamic and growing college.</li><li> Chance to make a difference in the lives of students</li></ul>
