<p><strong>About the Business: </strong></p><p><br></p><p>Fisheries Development Oman (“FDO”) is a Joint-stock company and a subsidiary of Oman Investment Authority, a wholly government owned sovereign wealth fund. The company is investing in Fisheries &amp; fish farming projects that lead to the development of Fisheries &amp; aquaculture sector in Oman, including shrimp farming, finfish, shellfish and seaweed ventures. The company is also investing in the establishment of support industries to the fish farming sector, including hatcheries and feed factories.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Objective:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The main purpose of the position is to provide professional advice, expertise and practical assistance in contracting, planning, reviewing scope of work, contractor pre-qualification, completion of tender documents, bid evaluations, contract negotiation, finalizing contract documents, contract controls and contract administration.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Contract Administration:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Monitor and administer all aspects of procurement function for Farm to ensure that the quality, cost, planning/scheduling, and contract administration effort is in accordance with established procedures and expectations of the company.</li><li>Provide technical guidance in Contracts.</li><li>Ensure EPC and O&amp;M scope are complied with in respect to commercial, technical &amp; contractual requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Contracts drafts/ terms and conditions:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.</li><li>Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.</li><li>Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.</li><li>Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.</li><li>Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what is best for the company.</li><li>Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualification: </strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in, Business, operations management, or engineering</li><li> Certificate in tendering and contract management preferred. </li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Overall experience of 4 years or more with minimum of 3 years in similar position or capacity. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Competencies:</strong></p><p><br></p><p> Technical:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Keen knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market</li><li>Experience in collecting and analyzing data.</li><li>Good knowledge of supplier and third-party management software</li><li>Ability to deal with operational challenges.</li><li>Keen understanding of the supply chain</li><li>Financial awareness to understand and interpret numbers; Excellent written &amp; verbal communication / presentation skills.</li><li>Team player with excellent motivational skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Soft:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Must be alert, strive for accuracy, and have ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment, be a self- motivator, and attention to detail</li><li>Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability Integrity, discretion and loyalty</li></ul>
