Job Description

<p><strong>About the Business:</strong></p><p><strong><span class=”ql-cursor”> </span></strong></p><p>International Seafood Company is a subsidiary of Fisheries Development Oman. The company is planning to set up Sardine &amp; Tuna cannery project with ancillary plant and related facilities in Duqm with ultimate processing inflow capacity of around 30KT/Year of Sardine and Tuna as well as Fishmeal and fish oil.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Objective:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>To Design, implement, maintain Simak seafood value add factory systems &amp; network.</li><li>To manage the control and automation of the factory equipment’s, machinery and processes</li><li>To manage the network security and access.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Deploy and maintain systems to ensure smooth functioning of the ICT infrastructure at SIMAK.</li><li>Prove ICT support to all factory functions, equipment and processes.</li><li>Manage the operations of the main factory control room, in terms of resourcing, management reporting and troubleshooting.</li><li>Oversee the information security and system audit to maintain the security of the network / servers.</li><li>Prepare and implement a disaster recovery plan to ensure backups are in place and data is secured.</li><li>Implementing &amp; pursuing backup plan for all data at SIMAK.</li><li>Develop an ICT Plan for the department in line with SIMAK’s operations.</li><li>Develop IT Budget in accordance to the IT Plan according to the department’s goals.</li><li>Conduct research on new software’s to meet business requirements and provide the latest technological support to SIMAK.</li><li>Analyze latest tools, version, releases and products of software and develop a feasibility of implementing the same.</li><li>Conduct a system study and requirement assessment of the organization to implement ERP solutions for the same.</li><li>Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing.</li><li>Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system to ensure technology is accessible and equipped with required hardware and software.</li><li>Provide orientation to new users in getting acquainted with the use of various IT tools and services.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>A Degree in IT , Engineering, Control and Automation or Instrumentation</li><li>Control &amp; Automation experience is bonus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>5 Years of relevant industrial Experience.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Competencies:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><em>Functional:</em></p><ul><li>ICT management, Network Management, Data Center design and maintenance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>Behavioral:</em></p><ul><li>Communication Skills</li></ul>
