NEOM will be a hub for innovation, where established global businesses and emerging players can research, incubate, and commercialize groundbreaking technologies to accelerate human progress. </strong><p><br></p><strong> Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>Responsible for leading the activities of project accounting across the projects delivered in sectors/regions of NEOM<p><br></p><strong> Key Accountabilities: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Review projects budgets and monitor actual costs, cost to complete and total project lifecycle cost </li><li> Ensure execution of project accounting in line with project accounting policies and IFRS Standards </li><li> Review and confirm calculations of project accruals for all projects in a timely manner and ensure reconciliation with project documentation </li><li> Review and ensure that all projects are assigned with appropriate WBS and CBS structures to enable project controls </li><li> Provide accounting expertise for complex accounting matters and scenarios </li><li> Review and approve accounting outputs for projects and perform sample checks of accounting results </li><li> Manage and reconcile project-wise costs, including operating expenses, and depreciation and amortization expenses </li><li> Support fixed assets capitalization and verifications process and provide recommendations to improve the accuracy and reliability of fixed assets capitalizations </li><li> Work with Executive Director to complete the FR&C department’s strategic and annual objectives </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Requirements: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> 10 or more years of experience in a similar role with a large corporation </li><li> Extensive knowledge of project budgeting, project accounting, project controlling, and project reporting in relevant industry sectors </li><li> Extensive knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) </li><li> Previous experience with SAP and Project Management Systems (Oracle Unifier) is a plus </li><li> Post-graduation degree/diploma or equivalent in financial and management accounting and/or Finance </li><li> Finance/Accounting certifications/qualifications (CPA, ICAEW, ICAI, ICAP, ACCA, or similar)</li></ul>
