Job Description

Neo Technologies is currently looking for an Android developer to enrich their skills via and grow as part of a team in the heart of digital innovation.<p><br></p>You will be responsible for implementing new features in any of our client apps, liaising with our Product and UX teams to bring concepts to life and working closely with QA team members to reproduce and fix bugs.<p><br></p>You should be an excellent team member whilst also showing resourcefulness and the ability to work through challenging problems. It will be your responsibility to complete work of a high standard in a time sensitive environment.<p><br></p>We’ll want to hear all about what issues you’ve faced in the apps you’ve built, and how you learnt from them.<p><br></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Development of various features and workflows in an Agile manner</li><li> Working closely with technical leads to identify and work through problems</li><li> Write clean, well factored UI code</li><li> Improving processes and keeping up to date with Android technology</li><li> Actively participating in development meetings</li><li> Brainstorming and discussing intended technical approaches for upcoming work with the team and involving the team in collaboration sessions</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Computer Engineering</li><li> Strong object-oriented and functional programming skills in any of the following languages:</li><li> Ruby, Java, node.js (Python is a plus)</li><li> Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS</li><li> Understanding of fundamental design principles</li><li> Thorough knowledge of SQL and Database system design</li><li> Strong understanding of HTTP standard and experience with RESTful interfaces</li><li> Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git or SVN)</li><li> 4+ years of experience in Backend development</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Benefits</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Continuous learning</li><li>Friendly work environment</li><li>Hybrid work philosophy (in-office + remote)</li><li>Pay in US Dollars</li><li>Bonus scheme</li><li>Medical insurance</li><li>Central Beirut location</li></ul>
