Job Description

The Carbon Fibre Composite (CFC) Bay Technician reporting to the CFC bay supervisor and is an experienced and skilled mechanical technician undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on the Typhoon’s carbon fibre composites . Demonstrating the ability to derive diagnostic techniques and will be responsible for maintaining airworthiness through appropriate task delegation and authorisation on the Typhoon’s CFC components.<p><br></p>The post holder should be able to demonstrate awareness of broader external dependencies and identify areas for continuous improvements .<p><br></p><ul><li> Undertak ing detailed maintenance, inspection activities on the Typhoon’s CFC components. Assuring work carried out has been completed according to the work package using the relevant approved technical information. Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management </li><li> Undertak ing and complete tasked maintenance &amp; diagnostic activities on the Typhoon’s CFC components, which may include, as appropriate, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications </li><li> Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately </li><li> Maintain ing personal &amp; teams task authorisation for working on an aircraft or components in accordance with QAF requirements </li><li> Maintaining a personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities </li><li> Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor. </li><li> Undertak ing support tasks within the carbon fibre composite bay facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and QAF procedures ( e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling / test equipment) </li><li> Undertak ing fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for ‘found faults’ during maintenance </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Engineering – HNC or equivalent experience </li><li> Human Factors </li><li> E&amp;PW Awareness </li><li> ITAR Awareness </li><li> Fire Training </li><li> On the Job Training Instructional Techniques </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Benefits</u></strong><p><br></p>Basic Salary plus additional benefits
