Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (3D Modeling Specialist)<br><br>Job Summary:<br><br>We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in 3D modeling to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor (3D Modeling Specialist), you will be responsible for accurately estimating and managing the costs of construction projects using advanced 3D modeling software and techniques. You will collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and functionality.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br>Utilize 3D modeling software to extract quantities and measurements from project models for accurate cost estimation.<br><br>Perform detailed 3D quantity takeoffs to determine the quantities of materials, components, and labor required for construction projects.<br><br>Develop and maintain cost databases and templates for accurate and efficient cost estimation.<br>Integrate 3D models with cost estimation software to assign costs to individual project elements.<br><br>Conduct value engineering analysis and collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project requirements.<br><br>Conduct clash detection analysis using 3D modeling software to identify and resolve potential clashes between different building elements.<br>Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost reports, including detailed breakdowns of costs, for presentation to stakeholders.<br><br>Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, identify any deviations from the budget, and propose corrective measures.<br>Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to 3D modeling and quantity surveying.<br>Requirements:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.<br><br>Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with specialization in 3D modeling.<br><br>Proficiency in using 3D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Tekla Structures) for quantity takeoffs, clash detection, and cost estimation.<br><br>Strong knowledge of construction materials, building techniques, and industry standards.<br><br>Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost calculations and estimations.<br><br>Solid understanding of cost control, budgeting, and project management principles.<br>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.<br><br>Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.<br>Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are advantageous.<br><br><br>Joining our team as a Quantity Surveyor (3D Modeling Specialist) offers you an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge construction projects, utilizing advanced technology and methodologies.
