<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>· Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.</p><p>· Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.</p><p>· Create sales or service contracts for products or services.</p><p>· Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogs, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.</p><p>· Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.</p><p>· Identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans.</p><p>· Confer with customers to assess sales requirements.</p><p>· Plan and modify to meet customer needs.</p><p>· Maintain sales forecasting reports.</p><p>· Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers.</p><p>· Research and identify potential customers for products or services.</p><p>· Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery.</p><p>· Develop sales plans to introduce products in new markets.</p><p>· Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.</p><p>· Write technical documentation for products.</p><p>· Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements.</p><p>· Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.</p><p>· Visit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales.</p><p>· Maintain customer records, using automated systems.</p><p>· Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.</p><p>· Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.</p><p>· Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs.</p><p>· Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.</p><p>· Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications.</p><p>· Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.</p><p>· Identify prospective customers, using business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, or trade show or conference attendance.</p><p>· Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to purchased products.</p><p>· Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.</p><p>· Provide customers with ongoing technical support.</p><p>· Advise customers on product usage to improve production.</p><p>· Attend sales or trade meetings or read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, or industry developments.</p><p>· Provide feedback to product design teams so that products can be tailored to clients’ needs.</p><p>· Initiate sales campaigns to meet sales and production expectations.</p><p>· Obtain building blueprints or specifications for use by engineering departments in bid preparations.</p><p>· Verify accuracy of materials lists.</p><p>· Verify customer credit ratings.</p><p>· Consult with engineers regarding technical problems with products.</p>
