The Technical Office Manager is required to oversee the design, manage the design team(s), and develop and supervise design projects.<p><br></p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop Design Ideas. Develop strategic plans for the project, determining with the Senior Project Team how long it will take and what it will cost. </li><li>Work with the client to choose specific design elements for the project, and determine if text or additional elements should be included in the design. </li><li>Oversee and supervise Design Projects including managing staff members and monitoring projects to ensure they are moving forward on schedule and within budget. </li><li>Participate in Client Meetings to determine what they want from their project and what specific design elements they may wish to incorporate. </li><li>Review Feedback from clients, then design or alter projects to fit the client’s vision, brand, and business needs. </li><li>Analyse market research, customer reviews, and other material to create more effective designs. </li><li>Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of the Technical Office works. Works towards positive integration with the multiple functions to achieve an effective and cohesive working unit on the project </li><li>Sets direction and goals for the DAR Technical Office Team including overall r esponsible for corporate quality processes for delivery of programme and construction management projects </li><li>Work with DAR Al Riyadh Senior management team to recommend strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives and once approved, to implement them within risk profile acceptable to DAR Al Riyadh. </li><li>Responsible the technical performance of the Technical Office, including: </li><li>compliance with the contractual obligations to the Client. </li><li>Reviewing and approving the Project Plan. </li><li>provision of services and products to required quality, safety, environmental and sustainability standards. </li><li>provision of service and products within risk profile acceptable to DAR Al Riyadh. </li><li>resolving Client and project issues above Project Manager level and handling all liability issues. </li><li>ensuring remarks/comments for the Project Report have been resolved </li><li>Counselling and coaching Direct Reports and consulting in the selection and leadership of the project team. </li><li>Monitoring Direct Reports performance, especially to ensure that the project outputs are subject to appropriate scrutiny and verification.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications Required: </strong><p><br></p><strong>Civil engineer, having university degree from internationally recognized university, 18 years minimum experience in his discipline of which 5-10 years in the same job title in similar projects, has experience in technical office, review of material technical submittals and design drawings. </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong Safety/Quality ethos. </li><li>Analytical thinking to analyse data and determine how to incorporate their findings into the design. </li><li>High levels of personal credibility and gravitas. </li><li>Strong leadership ability with a dynamic mind-set. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence decision making across all levels. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen combined with an analytical, creative and pro-active mind-set. </li><li>Strong cultural awareness. </li><li>Excellent time management to keep the project on schedule and keep team members working within deadline</li></ul>
