Job Description

Position Overview<br>KU is seeking a highly motivated Post Doctorate to work on a project related to the operation, stability and control of power systems considering renewable energy integration. The concept of Virtual synchronous generator (which mimics conventional synchronous generators) will be addressed and its operational impact and design on the overall system stability will be assessed and mitigated through the development of novel control solutions.<br>As part of the project, the researcher will have access to state-of-the-art research equipment and facilities at the APEC center and will get an opportunity to work alongside researchers and graduate students from various backgrounds as part of a wider team.<br><br>Position Requirements<br>· Strong background in power systems and its operation and control<br>· Strong and has experience in using MATLAB/SIMULINK for modelling power systems components<br>· Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly<br>· Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
