Join us and let’s get started.<br> <br><strong>Job Description<br></strong> <br><strong>Title of Post</strong> <strong>: Lead Railway Track and Alignment Engineer<br></strong> <br><strong>Department: Engineering Management<br></strong> <br><strong>Reports to: Engineering Manager<br></strong> <br><strong>Date: 14/06/2023<br></strong> <br><strong>Position Overview:<br></strong> <br>We are seeking an experienced Railway Track and Alignment Engineer to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<br> <br>As the Lead Railway Track and Alignment Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the railway alignment design in coordination with the civils design packages.<br> <br>Working within a multidiscipline engineering design team, you will be involved in producing railway alignment design packages, starting from feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support. Your role will also include preparing high-quality reports, studies, calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with budget and timeline requirements.<br> <br>In addition, you should possess a solid understanding of railway operations, have strong communication skills, and be knowledgeable about international high-speed and freight railway standards and safety principles in design.<br> <br><strong>Responsibilities:<br></strong> <ul><li>Collaborate with a multidiscipline engineering design team to develop comprehensive railway alignment design packages, coordinating with the civils design packages.</li> <li>Prepare high-quality reports, studies, calculations, drawings, and specifications in a timely manner and within an agreed budget.</li> <li>Conduct self-checks of drawings and models to ensure accurate interpretation of the project requirements and minimize the need for rework.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with colleagues in other teams to facilitate efficient coordination and collaboration.</li> <li>Attend technical and progress meetings with clients to provide updates on alignment design progress and address any concerns or queries.</li> <li>Assist in the technical development, innovation, and implementation of best practices within the organization.</li> <li>Contribute to bid preparation by providing technical input and support.</li> <li>Comply with Quality, Safety, and Environmental legislation and procedures throughout the alignment design process.</li> <li>Utilize your knowledge of European or other international high-speed, freight and metro railway standards to ensure compliance with industry requirements.</li> <li>Apply principles of safety in design to create railway alignments that prioritize safety within the railway environment.</li> <br></ul><strong>Requirements:<br></strong> <ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in railway track and alignment design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.</li> <li>Chartered status is preferable.</li> <li>Proficient in the use of Bentley Rail Track, Civil 3D, and MicroStation software.</li> <li>Sound understanding of railway operations and the ability to consider operational requirements in alignment design.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues in other teams.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate interpretation of Employers requirements and minimize rework.</li> <li>Present in technical and progress meetings with clients.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical development, innovation, and the use of best practices.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of Quality, Safety, and Environmental legislation and procedures.</li> <li>Application of safety principles in design to create safe railway alignments.</li> <br></ul><strong>Qualifications<br></strong> <br><strong>Additional Information<br></strong> <br>With infrastructure investment accelerating worldwide, our services are in great demand, and there’s never been a better time to be at AECOM!
