The senior electrical engineer’s responsibilities include analyzing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting the equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. As much as possible, highlight the result that is expected from each task) </em></strong></p> <p><strong>LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY</strong></p> <p><strong><em>(Full, Partial, Supporting</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Major:</li> <li>Previous experience in high reputed Consultant Engineering and Construction Company.</li> <li>Previous experience in different type of projects (Hospitals, Hospitality, Residential, Administration buildings, Mixed Use Towers &amp; Developments).</li> <li>Very good experience in Low Current and IT System installations.</li> <li>Strong knowledge for all Low Voltage power distribution equipment’s installations, terminations, and commissioning.</li> <li>Strong knowledge in lighting fixture installations, terminations, and commissioning.</li> <li>Strong knowledge in Low Current Systems installations, terminations, and commissioning. Systems to be covered are:</li> <li>Fire Alarm System</li> <li>Public Address System</li> <li>Audio Visual Systems</li> <li>Data Networks</li> <li>CCTV Systems</li> <li>All other related IT Networks</li> <li>Strong knowledge of all related Electrical/Low Current codes and standards.</li> <li>Knowledge of authorities and government regulations in Saudi Arabia.</li> <li>Coordinate with the Procurement Department/ Construction Manager for material selection according to approved drawing and client selection / approved.</li> <li>In addition to the above as per company instructions/directions.</li> <li>To follow Legal and other HSE related requirements like HSE&amp; quality policy &amp; procedures all the time.</li> <li>To follow company rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines, for Quality, Safety, Driving Safety and other site/client/field QHSE requirements as applicable.</li> <li>Being the responsible Electrical Engineer and reporting to the PM.</li> <li>Oversee a junior Electrical engineer and a mechanical inspector.</li> <li>Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.</li> <li>Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works.</li> <li>Review Contractor’s installation method statements.</li> <li>Review Contractor’s shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments / approval.</li> <li>Review contractor’s Electrical shop drawing in conjunction with the structural and electrical engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination and advise project manager accordingly</li> <li>Review Contractor’s Electrical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on the appropriateness of the proposals.</li> <li>Review Contractor’s proposed sub-contractor(s) associated with the Finishes / structural engineering works from a technical standpoint.</li> <li>Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the Electrical services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health &amp; safety.</li> <li>available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Project Manager.</li> <li>Undertake prior review of Contractor’s proposed Electrical system testing &amp; commissioning methods and schedule</li> <li>On a spot basis witness Electrical system final testing and commissioning.</li> <li>Review and comment on Contractor’s testing and commissioning results and advise Project Manager accordingly.</li> <li>Prepare draft site / engineer’s instructions, relating to the building Electrical services, as required and issue to the Project Manager.</li> <li>Provide advice to the Project Manager in regard to any Electrical services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.</li> <li>Review and comment upon Contractors Operation and Maintenance manuals</li> <li>Minor: </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>FULL </p> <p><strong>KPIs:</strong></p> <p>Meeting project timeline with on time job supervision of Electrical engineering team as per codes and standards</p> <p> </p>
