<strong>Overview</strong><p><br></p><strong> Position </strong><p><br></p>Senior Manager, Iron Ore Mining &amp; Steel Technology<p><br></p><strong> Department </strong><p><br></p>Mining &amp; Green Steel<p><br></p><strong> Sector </strong><p><br></p><strong> Oxagon </strong><p><br></p><strong> Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>Will be responsible for all aspects of process technology for NEOM’s green mine &amp; steel project<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p><strong> Process technology </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Set the overall technical direction for the project </li><li> Ensure alignment with NEOM’s overall vision for the world’s greenest and most advanced iron ore mining &amp; steel project </li><li> Develop the mine &amp; steel overall process flowsheet </li><li> Make key technology decisions for the project including: feasibility of hydrogen direct reduction, green mine fleet technology, pellet plant decarbonization technology, concentrator flowsheet design and method to handle tailings </li><li> Work closely with the business development team to complete market studies and determine plant product mix </li><li> Engage with partner process technology teams to integrated partner know-how and best practices into the project </li><li> Take a lead-role in OEM engagement, including making key OEM decisions </li><li> Take a lead-role in management and review of process and technology-related studies completed by EPCM and mining firms </li><li> Coordinate with other NEOM sectors to transfer best practices and make common technology decisions </li><li> Act as a mining &amp; steel subject matter expert for the NEOM mine &amp; steel team </li><li> Represent NEOM at technical conferences or industry organizations </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong> Knowledge, Skills and Experience </strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Prior process engineering experience in the iron ore and steel industry </li><li> Good knowledge of mining &amp; steel low-carbon technology </li><li> Superior oral and written communications skills, ability to effectively engage with a diverse group of project stakeholders </li><li> Comfortable managing a complex project in an ambiguous environment </li><li> Ability to lead multi-faceted projects and teams to drive decisions and outcomes </li><li> Ability to manage a heavy workload and travel for short periods (1-2 weeks) </li><li> Strong collaboration skills </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li></li><ul><li> Minimum of 15 years of process engineering experience in iron ore ands mining </li></ul></ul><p><br></p><strong> COMMUNICATION – MAIN STAKEHOLDERS </strong><p><br></p><strong> Internal </strong><p><br></p><strong> External </strong><p><br></p>NEOM sector leadership<p><br></p>Project Director, Steel &amp;Mine Development<p><br></p>Director –Environmental, health &amp; safety and regulatory compliance (mining &amp; steel)<p><br></p>Director – Business Development and Commercial<p><br></p>Domestic and international miners and steelmakers<p><br></p>Mining &amp; steel industry organizations<p><br></p>Mining &amp; steel industry OEMs
