Our <strong>Infrastructure Department</strong> would like to welcome a detail oriented</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Database Administrator</strong> in our <strong>Amman,Jordan</strong> office. </p><p><br></p><p>As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for building, optimizing and maintaining conceptual and logical database models. You should know how to analyze system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data. Hands-on experience with MSSQL/MariaDB is also required. </p><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Develop database solutions in cooperation with the DB Architect in Infrastructure team to efficient manage company data </li><li>Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality </li><li>Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions </li><li>Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements </li><li>Help design , implement and improve new and current database systems. </li><li>Establish a query optimization function for the company </li><li>Follow security and backup procedures along with Infrastructure team </li><li>Coordinate with the Development and Data team to cover emerging requirements regarding new or existing projects relevant with Database Systems </li><li>Maintain database by determining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions </li><li>Ensure security of all information and computer systems and digital data </li><li>Work with Infrastructure team so to properly setup and use tools for fault/performance and optimization of databases </li><li>Study organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with senior management to understand information requirements </li><li>Compare and analyze provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and problems </li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Skills & Competencies </strong></p><ul><li>Professional work experience as a Database administrator </li><li>Understanding of database structure principles </li><li>Experience in gathering and analyzing system requirements </li><li>Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques is a plus </li><li>Expertise in Structure Query Language (SQL ) </li><li>Memory Storage Engine/ Storage engine & real time data </li><li>Professional analytical skills and problem-solving attitude </li><li>Familiar with agile software development and the operation of ETL routes. </li><li>Leverage data to influence others. </li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of commercial experience in administering MS SQL or MySQL/MariaDB servers. </li><li>Experience with cloud database services and managed instances (in AWS or Azure). </li><li>SQL profiling and performance tuning on both infrastructure and application levels. </li><li>Good English verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>BSc in Computer Science or relevant field </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><span class=”ql-cursor”> </span></strong></p><p><strong>Perks</strong></p><p>Each of our offices has its special perks; be it ‘no ties’, free lunches, charity events, or a hybrid work policy – but whenever you walk into an Equiti office, you’re sure to see a friendly face.
