As a Management Accountant, you will support the Finance and the management team of Canon Middle East by providing high quality financial analysis and timely internal management reporting. You will support the growth of business at Canon by developing standardized policies and procedures to improve the internal control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements. The Management Accountant will have the responsibility to control and manage the regular budgeting and forecasting requirements, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and realistic estimates are submitted to head office.<br><br><strong><u>What We Give<br><br></u></strong>With Canon, you’ll get the support and encouragement you need to grow, from people who share your ambition. Main proper books of accounts, as per IFRS/US GAAP.</li><li>Preparation of monthly reporting pack and management accounting/reporting.</li><li>In-Charge of Consolidation and Elimination of Group Accounts.</li><li>Prepare &amp; process various monthly journal entries prior to closing.</li><li>Monthly Exchange Rate Updates.</li><li>Submission of monthly results to Headquarters.</li><li>Preparation of cash flow forecast.</li><li>Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to confirm completeness and accuracy assertion.</li><li>Assist quarterly submission of VAT returns.</li><li>Ensure strong internal controls to protect the assets of the company.</li><li>Assisting in preparation of auditing schedules.</li><li>Assisting in preparing internal audit workings &amp; SOX testing.</li><li>Coordinating across departments to resolve accounting issues.</li><li>Managing the Master data for Accounting &amp; Reporting tools.<br></li></ul>Reporting<br><ul><li>Monthly management report pack to management prior and post-closing the month.</li><li>Preparation and full control of Annual &amp; Semi-Annual budget preparations.</li><li>Other ad hoc reports as requested by management &amp; Headquarters.<br></li></ul>General<br><ul><li>Offer support and guidance to other Finance team members.</li><li>Liaise with IT department to develop reports in Orion system.</li><li>Carry out other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul> <strong>What we ask<br></strong><ul><li>Relevant recognized formal qualifications (University and management accounting. E.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA etc).</li><li>Grip on IFRS/ US Gaap and Auditing standards.</li><li>Up to date on VAT and CIT implementation and news/ updates.</li><li>Practical “hands-on” exposure in a similar business environment (3 years minimum).</li><li>Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).</li><li>Familiarity with MS Office, Email and Internet (essential).</li><li>Proficient Excel knowledge.</li><li>Familiarity with Orion ERP system (preferred but not essential).</li></ul> <strong>You will need<br></strong><ul><li>Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment.</li><li>A high level of accuracy when dealing with figures.</li><li>The ability to meet deadlines whilst working under pressure.</li><li>Flexibility to deal with changing requirements.</li><li>Good team player.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Able to work in multicultural environment.</li><li>Methodical, disciplined individual with good attention to detail.</li><li>Strong analytical skills – able to see the “big picture”.</li><li>Able to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals at all levels, especially management.</li></ul> Canon is enriching lives and businesses in incredible new ways.
