GRE Production Supervisor

Job Description

<p>As directed by production manager, plans, co-ordinates, controls and responsible for the complete operation of the production equipment including raw materials usage and product quality. He is also responsible for optimum power utilization on his operating shift.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Has a complete understanding of the capabilities of the production equipment and working knowledge of the processing characteristics of the various materials used in the production area.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for the activities of the pipe production and finishing crews on his operating shift to produce the maximum production in the most efficient manner possible as directed by the production manager.</li><li>Responsible for the operation of the production equipment and must be able to operate same.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li><span>Supervise shift while planning, producing, or shipping GRE products as scheduled.</span></li><li>Streamline processes and materials flow to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency for all types of products. </li><li>Direct set up of the reciprocal helical winding machine to achieve the desired results as prescribed in the process specifications (must be able to react to changes in product and / or machine performance).</li><li>Responsible for routine maintenance inspection on the machine to ensure that the equipment is in top condition. Ensure that corrective action has been taken for securing continuous operation.</li><li>Responsible for quality defects and co-ordinates corrective action. Assists machine crews where necessary to ensure maximum output and quality.</li><li>Responsible for all proper work accumulated on his shift.</li><li>Responsible for a high standard of house-keeping and safety on his operating shift.</li><li>Ensure that all tools and equipment required for the production are on hand and available.</li><li>Responsibility for training all new personnel reporting to him.</li><li>Provide security for all production related items and equipment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Proficient in 6+ year related supervisory experience</li><li>Strong communication skills</li></ul>
