<strong>Position: </strong> Enterprise Architect Manager<p><br></p><strong> Reports to </strong> : Executive Director Digital Mobility<p><br></p><strong> Sector: </strong> Land Mobility<p><br></p><strong> Job Location: </strong> Sharma, NEOM<p><br></p><strong> The Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>Solid implementation experiences on large scale transport system with cloud technology knowledge required .<p><br></p>Reporting to the Executive Director of Digital Mobility, the Enterprise Architect will own the end-to-end architecture of the NEOM Digital Mobility platform and will be a critical driver for achieving a technically and functionally capable, maintainable, secure, extensible, scalable and economically sustainable (implementation and operation) platform. They will drive key technical design and architecture decisions to ensure the platform’s continuous ability to support new use cases and city growth with the required level of performance in a cost efficient, secure, and reliable manner.<p><br></p>We are looking for a highly experienced, motivated and creative self-starter who thrives in ambitious, international and fast-changing environments with exceptional experience in context of platform architecture and vendor management. A keen interest and related experience to work on the forefront of urban mobility and the future of cities is vital for success in this position.<p><br></p><strong> Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities: </strong><ul><li> Ownership of the end to end architecture of the NEOM Digital Mobility Platform by driving the key architecture and technical design decisions required for platform success in implementation and operation, in the following areas:</li><ul><li> Architectural and Design Principles </li><li> Enterprise (Platform) Architecture – i.e. how systems are put together following a clear separation of concerns </li><li> Application, Data and Integration Architecture – i.e. how systems should be built / what characteristics sourced systems should have, how they should manage data, and how they should be integrated and expose their data, events and services </li><li> Security Architecture – i.e. how the platform will be secured (data and interfaces access) </li><li> Build and Deployment Architecture – i.e. how the platform should be developed or configured, tested and deployed, and the hosting architecture required to support these </li><li> Operations Architecture – i.e. how the platfom will be looked after once deployed, including the type of tooling required to monitor and generate alert on the platform </li></ul><li> Define quality targets (NFRs), identify and drive architecture and design decisions to ensure that they are met </li><li> Produce, maintain and own the high level architectural roadmap that is constantly in alignment with the Product Management roadmap, incl. maintenance of the service catalogue </li><li> Identify key dependencies around iterative software rollouts with internal and external partners, being accountable for the technical coordination of the overall mobility platform deployment agile roadmap </li><li> Document and proactively facilitate the communication of key design and architecture decisions with the right stakeholders, whether internal to NEOM or external (typically vendors) </li><li> Identify and plan mitigations for key platform architectural risks </li><li> Oversee preparation and maintenance or control of end to end architecture and system documentation </li><li> Engage in effective information management, collaboration, change management, risk mitigation, escalation management, and problem solving with all stakeholders, including implementation partners </li><li> Monitor industry trends regarding architecture, IT strategy &amp; technology and know the best practices </li><li> Lead a team of colleagues that provide support for aforementioned activities </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Knowledge, Skills And Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Extensive experience in leading end-to-end system architecture for large platforms integrating with a large number of customized commercial off the shelf solutions running as SaaS and discrete cloud based deployments </li><li> Extensive experience managing software vendors and systems integrator in the end to end selection, design, iterative implementation and operation lifecycle </li><li> Extensive experience working in large scale agile delivery programmes, preferably using an appropriate agile framework (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) </li><li> Extensive experience in delivering large scale architectures using one of the Hyperscale providers’ Well Architected Frameworks </li><li> Extensive experience in delivering digital mobility solutions for cities or regions, including experience in Mobility as a Service platforms and Account Based Ticketing </li><li> Extensive experience in domain driven design </li><li> Extensive experience of API driven service based system integration, and of event driven architectures </li><li> Extensive experience working in agile teams </li><li> Extensive knowledge about system architectures, allowing for the development, evaluation and challenge of architectural options to drive key decisions supporting business requirements </li><li> Extensive knowledge of solution architecture and design patterns for creating large scale cloud native digital solutions, including integration, scaling, data storage and management, security, transactional (e.g. modular monoliths, microservices) and analytical workloads (e.g. data lakes, data mesh) architecture patterns, and when to use them </li><li> Extensive knowledge of at least one of the major Hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with Oracle Cloud on top is an advantate </li><li> General knowledge about programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Java, Scala, Go, Python, Javascript, etc.) </li><li> Highly developed creative thinking, pragmatic problem-solving, research, analytical, oral and written communication skills </li><li> Highly developed project management skills </li><li> Highly developed communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with a diverse set of p rofessional disciplines, partners and stakeholders </li><li> Professional conduct in handling multiple tasks, cost and competing deadlines </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Graduate / postgraduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., information technologies, computer sciences, etc.) </li><li> Approx. 10-12 years of work experience in various architecture areas, including Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture </li><li> Professional Architect certification in one of the Hyperscale Cloud Providers (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) is an advantage, but demonstration of application of skills taught in such certifications is more valued and seen as critical </li><li> Complete fluency in English is required </li><li> Complete fluency in Arabic and other languages will be an advantage </li><li> Proficiency with common technical documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, etc.) </li><li> Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) with knowledge in other presentational and organizational products or multi-media tools being an advantage</li></ul>
