Assisting the project manager, working along with various internal &amp; external project stakeholders in delivering the project.<br><br>The ELV/GRMS Commissioning Engineer is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, and Testing GRMS and Lighting Systems. This includes the system programming, installation &amp; terminations of devices, testing, overseeing the work of other technicians, surveying work sites, coordinating workflows, provide on the job training to other technicians as needed.<br><br><strong>What you will do:<br></strong><ul><li> To commission and quality assure ELV and GRMS installations to an excellent standard.</li><li> Prepare system configuration, Programming &amp; operational documentation and ensure a fully functional GRMS system</li><li> Preparing related handover and operations Manuals.</li><li> Testing &amp; Commissioning, Configuration of AV and Unified Communication equipment & software at the customer’s site according to project documentation and project schedule;</li><li> Should have in-depth knowledge of Audio-Visual programming using the latest Extron, Crestron, QSC, Biamp, BSS, and other AV control processors.</li><li> Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.</li><li> Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and setting up of all Audio Video Systems as required following drawings &amp; schematics.</li><li> Conduct the inspection, repair, upgrading, planned &amp; reactive maintenance of AUDIO &amp; VIDEO systems.</li><li> Check AV systems; identify malfunction, troubleshoot, first instance diagnosis, and take appropriate action to rectify system and equipment.</li><li> Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills to be successful:<br><br></strong><strong>Job-Specific Technical Skills:<br></strong><ul><li> Should possess hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of GRMS /ELV systems.</li><li> Must be well-versed in the T&amp;C of (GRMS/ACS/CCTV systems) including Honeywell Inncom, Interel GRMS &amp; Lighting Control Systems</li><li> Good experience in systems integration and experience in any configuration and programming software for GRMS/Lighting Control/ELV systems</li><li> Integration of controls, room temperature, lighting, HVAC system, audio systems, curtains, TV, and other options in the room.</li><li> Detailed working knowledge and experience in Operations and Maintenance of GRMSsystems</li><li> Fault Finding &amp; troubleshooting skills in AUDIO &amp; VIDEO Systems.</li><li> General knowledge and experience of Electrical Safety Rules and procedures.</li><li> The ability to accurately read and interpret drawings &amp; schematics.</li><li> Experience with other technology systems, such as CCTV/ACS/BMS is a plus..</li><li> Technical training &amp; certifications from manufacturers on GRMS system.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Behavioral Competencies :<br></strong><ul><li> Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.</li><li> Excellent problem-solving skills</li><li> Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li> Excellent time management.</li><li> Ability to work extended hours (overtime/weekends) as needed.</li><li> Ability to be scheduled for on-call status if or as needed.</li><li> The position may require daily travel to worksites, and employees must be able to get to worksites independently.</li><li> Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers.</li><li> Team Player.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What equips you for the role:<br><br></strong><strong>Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: <br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (IT/Communication/Electricals/Engineering)</li><li> Proficiency in Widows Based PC environment &amp; AutoCAD<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Experience: <br></strong><ul><li> 5+ years of directly related experience as an ELV/GRMS Engineer.<br><br></li></ul><strong>About Al-Futtaim Engineering &amp; Technologies<br><br></strong>Al-Futtaim Engineering &amp; Technologies offers customers complete engineering and systems integration solutions.<br><br>The Engineering arm operates in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt providing a wide variety of products and services from air conditioning, scaffolding and access solutions, elevators and escalators, control and life safety, facilities management, building products, MEP, Energy Management, Technology Infrastructure and Digital Transformation.<br><br>The Technologies division provides complete business solutions to large, medium and small customers that include, contact centre solutions, business applications, business intelligence, data management, advanced analytics amongst others.
