<p>I. Basic Functions:</p><p>The Senior Service Desk Specialist is part of a Service Desk support team. The Senior Service Desk Specialist responds to stakeholders needs as they arise and provides high quality technical, operational and maintenance support by troubleshooting and installing hardware, software, networking, IP telephony, A/V, updates, and by identifying areas in which the use of technology can be improved. </p><p> </p><p>II. Minimum Requirements:</p><p>• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.</p><p>• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in user support, hardware and software maintenance or a related field.</p><p>• Networking skills including but not limited to understanding of protocols, switches, routers, sub netting, WIFI.</p><p>• Good Knowledge of Windows operating systems. Relevant certifications are a plus.</p><p>• Knowledge and certifications in MAC are a plus.</p><p>• Good knowledge of common Windows and MAC applications (Office, Email clients, web browser etc.).</p><p>• Knowledge of security best practices.</p><p>• Knowledge of windows servers operating systems.</p><p>• Good Knowledge of windows services (DNS, Exchange, active directory, WSUS, etc.).</p><p>• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and processes.</p><p>• Proven client-facing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>• Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</p><p>• Strong written and verbal English and Arabic communication skills with the ability to relate technical problems and solutions in a user-friendly manner.</p><p>• Strong listening and analytical skills along with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.</p><p> </p><p> Within the framework of Lebanese Law, the American University of Beirut is an equal opportunity employer.</p><p><br></p>
