We have got what you are looking for<p><br></p>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented <strong>Senior Environmental Engineer t</strong>o join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.<p><br></p>Together we are delivering the world’s largest project, imagining a new way of living, and leaving behind an unmatched legacy.<p><br></p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong><p><br></p>Reporting to the Head of Environmental Delivery, the Senior Environmental Engineer/ Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Project construction activities are carried out in accordance with THE LINE Project requirements and compliance obligations.<p><br></p><ul><li>Monitoring and verifying the environmental compliance of project construction activities against relevant regulatory and project compliance obligations through various methods including performance of field inspections and audits of Contract works, review of environmental documents, data and information associated with environmental performance, coordination of progress meetings and day-to-day coordination with environmental professionals and Project teams.</li><li>Monitoring the implementation of follow-up corrective actions.</li><li>Leading or assisting with environmental incident response and root cause investigations and overseeing implementation of controls to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Preparing or assisting with preparation of environmental performance summaries, reports, dashboards, etc.</li><li>Reviewing Project requirements, performing gap assessments, preparing registers / logs / summaries in predefined formats.</li><li>Analyzing environmental data and information, documenting findings, preparing requests for information (RFIs) or other queries.</li><li>Preparing environmental training and awareness materials and delivering training to Project teams.</li><li>Preparing scopes of work and specifying requirements for inclusion into contracts, framework agreements and other contractual documentation.</li><li>Preparing, contributing to, or maintaining planning documents including environmental plans and procedures, risk registers, compliance obligation registers, objectives, targets, KPIs, inspection and monitoring forms or logs.</li><li>Assisting with the achievement of sustainability objectives, targets and KPIs as necessary.</li><li>Performing any other duties as might be necessary to achieve the Project’s environmental and sustainability requirements, objectives and targets.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree science or engineering from a recognized university in a physical or natural resource related field including environmental science, environmental engineering, etc. Advanced degree preferred.</li><li>ISO 14001 EMS auditor certification.</li><li>Hazardous waste management training (e.g., 40-Hr. Hazwoper).</li><li>Environmental certifications such as IEMA, CEnv., REP / REM, QAES, CPESC, etc. would be an asset.</li><li>Management qualifications (PMP, MBA, other) would be an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>What Desired Skills You’ll Bring</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>10 or more years of combined experience in civil infrastructure development, a substantial amount of which constitutes working with PMC organizations to manage the environmental compliance of civil infrastructure development Projects/Programs.
