<p><strong>About the job</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Provision Category Manager</strong></p><p>We are looking for a Provision Category Manager specialized in food products, especially Proteins.</p><p><br></p><p>To complement the regional procurement team, we are looking for a Category Manager for the ”dry/chilled/fresh/frozen provisions” category. In this role you will become a strategic partner and have overall responsibility for creating, maintaining, and improving inbound supply chains for the Wrist Middle East organization through building relations with the regional vendor community and create the best possible sourcing position for Wrist Middle East, considering total cost price, quality, availability and logistics.</p><p><br></p><p>You will have significant freedom in building and maintaining a strong supplier portfolio, initiate, close and implement negotiated contracts and generally keep abreast of category market movements and consumer requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>In this role you will also work close with the sales team by analyzing market data, identify the relevant assortments, based on our customers’ consumer patterns.</p><p><br></p><p>With reference to our Regional Procurement manager, you will become part the strong Regional team. The position is based in Sharjah UAE.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Total cost optimization: Analyze purchasing trends, commodity development, execute benchmarking and convert into financial improvement of the business. Search the market for identification of new vendors and opportunities and incorporate those in the business.</li><li>Working Capital optimization (Days of Payment Outstanding, Days of Sales Inventory).</li><li>Utilize our warehouse capacity with in-depth analysis of sales trend, commodity development and product movement.</li><li>Contract coverage and compliance.</li><li>Help drive and develop category strategies, including objectives and targets and execute on global category strategies agreed with the global category managers</li><li>Assortment development and execution: Understand consumer patterns and translate the data into new products/assortments and/or new vendors. Optimize assortments and COGS throughout the organization by leading the definition, item alignment and roll out of global and regional assortment programs</li><li>Supplier relations management to build strong partnerships</li><li>Use our system to implement negotiated agreements, costing controlling, import orders etc.</li><li>Proactive with using our Business Intelligence reports and tooling for governance</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>As a person you are result oriented, decisive and action oriented. You manage your stakeholders well and can drive alignment. Your approach is data driven and your decisions are based on facts.</li><li>You possess negotiation-, communication- and influencing skills.
