<strong>Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Advise the client on the contracting strategy for the project </li><li>Review submitted tenders and prepare tender report </li><li>Administer contract between the contractor and the employer </li><li>Make recommendations on the mitigation of risks identified in contract terms and conditions </li><li>Develop and maintain contract commercial management procedures </li><li>Administer all contractual correspondence between client and contractor </li><li>Review Contractor’s claims submissions, including EOT, and prepare Engineer’s determination/decision </li><li>Develop and manage change control procedures and raise necessary internal approvals for instructions and variations </li><li>Administer monthly payment certification of the contractor </li><li>Mentor and develop the skills of junior team members </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualification </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Must have a degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying with 15+ years’ experience with the last 3 to 5 years in a similar position </li><li>Must be Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), a post-graduate degree in construction law is desirable </li><li>Experience in drafting contractual responses and Engineer’s determination </li><li>Good knowledge of FIDIC Red book and Yellow book contracts </li><li>Experience in handling EOT claims and final account settlement </li><li>FCIArb /MCIArb is an advantage </li></ul><p><br></p>Since 1982, Ghafari Associates has taken a personal approach to highly technical projects in complex markets including aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, hospitality, K-12 and higher education.
