Join us as a Portfolio, Programme & Project Management (P3M) Consultant and help clients adapt to the fast-rising tide of digital disruption. You’ll be providing expert advice on complex business problems at senior levels. Working hands-on, you’ll ensure the teams conceive and deliver effective solutions. We’ll also rely on your acumen to significantly expand this business area to meet strong demand. You’ll feel a great sense of pride supporting clients, such as the MoD, Network Rail, and the Home Office, realise tangible benefits from transformational change programmes.<br><br><strong><u>Your Purpose<br><br></u></strong>We are looking to hire talented P3M consultants with a track record in providing clients with P3M consultancy and advice, but also have a good background in delivery, whether as a Portfolio, Programme or Project Manager.<br><br>As a leader in the Programme Delivery practice, you will be working with new and existing Atkins clients within our Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) market, helping them address their business challenges through the effective application of P3M methodologies and frameworks. You will use your experience to build strong client relationships and understand the client’s business context, providing strategic innovative thinking and advice. You will define and deliver Atkins solutions that address their key P3M business challenges from understanding problems through to solution design and successful delivery.<br><br>This will be achieved in a range of ways including:<br><ul><li>Working closely with our ADS&T market teams, actively supporting them to win work with new and existing Atkins clients, engaging with clients and developing compelling propositions.</li><li>Working collaboratively with clients to set and realise strategies for change.</li><li>Providing best practice P3M advice and support to enable them to effectively control and manage their complex change portfolios.</li><li>Designing and creating programmes to support major transformations to ways of operating e.g. across staff and locations.</li><li>We are looking to grow our team and are looking for experienced P3M Professionals with a consultancy background, who have a proven track record and can perform effectively at a senior level. We need exceptional and enthusiastic people who can lead diverse teams, build strong client relationships, develop sales opportunities for our services, develop our P3M service offerings and manage delivery effectively.<br></li></ul><strong><u>What You Can Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Active desire to understand a client’s business context.</li><li>Previous advisory and consultancy experience designing and implementing P3M solutions for clients.</li><li>Ability to advise on best practice P3M methodologies as a qualified P3M practitioner and holder of relevant professional qualifications e.g. APMQ, PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, Agile PM.</li><li>Knowledge of P3O and its value within the delivery environment.</li><li>Member of the APM or PMI and ideally a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP).</li><li>Strategic understanding of where a client’s project or programme fits within their portfolio and how they affect strategic objectives.</li><li>Ability to support clients with Project/Programme recovery – getting things back on track. The ability to design recovery plans and implement recovery packages for clients.</li><li>Awareness of structured and Agile methodologies and when and how to use them to best effect.</li><li>Knowledge and experience of P3M assurance models (i.e. P3M3, IPA).</li><li>Active interest in current and future trends in P3M, in turning supporting P3M innovation and service offering development.</li><li>Credibility to advise clients on best practice at a senior level evidenced through both knowledge and practical experience.</li><li>Experience of leading / inputting to winning P3M solution / services bids.</li><li>Skilled in creating a common sense of purpose, providing clarity of vision and empowering teams to deliver.</li><li>Skilled in building and maintaining client relationships up to C-suite level, advising SROs and governance boards.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Read More About How You Can Thrive With Us.<br><br></u></strong><strong>Why work for Atkins?<br><br></strong>People join us because they share a desire to be at the forefront of the ADS&T Business Unit and deliver outstanding projects.
