Thales has been selected to supply major electronic systems for air defence and the Group also supplied communication and optronic systems for the Army, the Saudi Arabia National Guards and the Air Force.<br><br><strong>General Description<br></strong><ul><li>Ensure the management of the industrial performances of his portfolio. He works in close relationships with Purchase, Industrial and Quality teams. He acts as a performance Industrial project manager.</li><li>He/She is accountable for the factories supplies in terms of quality and on time deliveries during the production or the support period after the FAI (First Article Inspection) milestone. </li><li>His/Her main mission is to achieve the SKPIs (Suppliers Key Processes Indicators) objectives, SOTD (Supplier On Time Delivery) and SOCD (Supplier On Conformity Delivery) defined by the organization.</li><li>He/She may be involved before the FAI during the development phase. </li><li>In a disruptive innovation approach for the improvement of the global performance: operational, competitiveness, services, footprint, he identifies and participates to the deployment of the levers enabling optimizations through all the product life cycle: design, production and support.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Roles & Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong><em>Supplier Audits & Development<br></em></strong><ul><li>Identify gaps & improve against industry & Thales best practices</li><li>Reviews, SKPIs and reporting </li><li>Organize and conduct the suppliers performance reviews with stake holders</li><li>Validate and issue the SKPIs for his portfolio </li><li>Establish a monthly reporting for his portfolio </li><li>Prepare and participate to the Suppliers Performance Committees ( SuPerCo)</li><li>Transmit the SKPIs to the group level </li><li>Monitor and report on a regularly basis the global performance action plan addressing two main topics: quality and punctuality<br><br></li></ul><strong>Continuous Improvement<br></strong><ul><li>In order to manage the continuous improvement, put in place the Thales best practices, including lean manufacturing, with his suppliers: </li><li>Responsible for the deployment of corrective and preventive action plans which address process, product, or component alerts from industrial operations, customer line fit manufactures, or the field support organization.</li><li>Act as a conduit to improve the overall interface between Thales and the Supplier, using lessons learned for the continuous improvement of both parties.</li><li>Develop and execute plans to eliminate the need for non-value add activities (e.g. the Seven Wastes, MUDA) in both Thales and Supplier processes, consistent with improving the quality and reliability of procured items</li><li>Deploy techniques including Six Sigma, DMAIC or Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify and evaluate the potential failures of process, prioritize actions to alleviate risk in both Thales and Supplier activities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Communication:<br></strong><ul><li>Report and synthesis ability </li><li>Ability to communicate and speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers & Internal stake holders<br><br></li></ul><strong>Work Experience Requirements<br></strong><ul><li>Minimum 6 years of demonstrable experience in supplier development, audits, Performance management in Aerospace, Defence domains (preferable)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Educational Requirements<br></strong><ul><li>Engineering degrees with relevant experience in Supplier Operations management<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills Requirements<br></strong><ul><li>Six Sigma</li><li>End to End supplier Operations management<br><br></li></ul>At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
