Application Engineer

Job Description

<strong>Department: Systems Unit<br><br>Reports to: Smart Solutions Technical Manager<br><br></strong><strong>Design &amp; Engineering:<br></strong><ul><li>Study books of specifications and select the most suitable products.</li><li>Prepare offers and make designs in coordination with the Senior Sales Engineer Systems. Revise offers, as necessary.</li><li>Follow up with appropriate contacts on submitted offers to secure a positive closing (technically, in coordination with Senior Sales Engineer Systems)</li><li>Design and supervise programming and configuration.</li><li>Recommend new products that:</li><li>a) Complement existing product line</li><li>b) Insure comprehensive response to specific needs of various market segments.</li><li>Promote the company’s products (mainly Home Automation and Lighting Control Systems)</li><li>Prepare /review AutoCAD drawings for lighting control/ELV Systems/Home Automation.<br><br></li></ul><strong>After Sales Service:<br></strong><ul><li>Follow-up on technical issues with suppliers if required.</li><li>Maintain a healthy inventory level of spare parts and accessories that would ensure responsive after sales service and successful installation.</li><li>Maintain proper filing system of In Hand, Under Design and Executed Projects, including Design &amp; Development.</li><li>Supervise technicians site installations to ensure successful project handing-over in accordance with agreed designs and preparing/arranging all relevant documentations.</li><li>Offer all after sales support, as for maintenance and installation and prepare/arrange all required documents.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements:<br></strong><ul><li>Electrical Engineer / Computer Science</li><li>3 to 5 years of sales experience preferably in Automation Systems</li><li>Language(s): English is a must</li><li>Computer literacy: AutoCAD + Microsoft Windows, Office Outlook<br></li></ul>
