Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

<p><span>Candidate is expected to have sound technical knowledge and understanding related to Electrical Works.</span></p><p><span>&nbsp;</span></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Aware of preparation for Construction drawings such as Overall oneline diagrams, Single line diagrams (SLDs) for MCC, DC power, Electrical equipment layout, Lighting layout, Small power layout, Ground grid layout, Grounding layout, Lighting, power &amp; DC panel schedules, Power cable layout, Cable tray/conduit layout, cable tray elevation &amp; section, Electrical/Lightning installation details, Lighting control schematic diagrams, Electrical cable list, Electrical equipment lists, Lightning protection layout &amp; elevations, Electrical area classification layout &amp; elevation, street &amp; area lighting plan, area ground grid plan, cable trench &amp; duct bank section details, Material Take-offs (MTO),Scope of work (SOW).</li><li>Response for Request for Information (RFI) &amp; Material &amp; Data Submittal (MDS)</li><li>Provide the design package, Technical submittal and compliance statement based on project requirement.</li><li>Coordinate with Project Manager &amp; Project Engineer to Solve the Design Issues.</li><li>SLDs, System Arch., Shop drawings, as built drawings, Prepare Cable schedule, Voltage drop calculation.</li><li>ETAP power system analysis -Load flow study, Short circuit study, Relay co-ordination &amp; settings</li><li>Electrical load calculations – MCC, Switchgear, Transformer sizing</li><li>MV/LV feeder cable / cable tray sizing, conduit sizing calculations</li><li>Grounding, Charging current, Standby generator sizing, Battery &amp; battery charger sizing calculations</li><li>Illumination calculations for indoor outdoor</li><li>Lightning risk assessment calculations</li><li>Site visit, data collection, meeting with client / vendors / other disciplines, technical coordination</li><li>ETAP library updating by adding newly created library for some circuit breakers &amp; trip devices, Load Flow, Short circuit and Motor starting study.</li><li>Aware about <span>SES (NEC) and SES (IEC) Standard and idea about HCIS -2017 Standard for power supply.</span></li></ul><p><span>&nbsp;</span></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Engineering Degree (Electrical &amp; Electronics Engineering).</li><li>10+ year of experience in Design Engineering in KSA. (Experience in SABIC or Saudi Aramco is highly preferable)</li><li>Good Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, etc.</li><li>Transferable Iqama is required for non-Saudi National.</li><li>Valid driver’s license is a must.</li><li>Arabic and English Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li></ul>
