<p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organisation and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process. Our Company is looking for <strong>Estimator</strong> <strong> Engineer </strong>with minimum 10 years UAE experience and must have extensive <strong>utilities and infrastructure </strong>experience in the region.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Calculate costs, estimate timelines, interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice</li><li>liaise with clients, and stakeholders</li><li>Work closely with surveyors, construction managers, architects and other engineering professionals to plan and develop a solid budget for construction projects</li><li>Write reports to determine financial costs for labour, materials, budgets, and what contractors/subcontractors should use for the construction project</li><li>Deliver final estimates of budgets and cost plans</li><li>Handling Pre & Post– Tender correspondences with clients, consultants and raising tender queries to avoid and discrepancies.</li><li>Studying quotations, arranging comparative statements and negotiate to obtain competitive rates and technically adjust different quotations.</li><li>Accountable for value engineering, proposing alternatives which are cost effective in terms of value & time.</li><li> Keep coordinating with procurement department to finalize the subcontractor packages for the post contract works.</li><li> Analyzing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company’s productivity rates)</li><li> Assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project.</li><li> Visiting project sites to gather information</li><li>Keeping detailed records and writing reports.</li><li>Evaluate the required resources for the direct cost of labor, plant & material for each activity.</li><li>Preparing the monthly tender report for the higher management.</li><li>Preparing the subcontractor packages and sending to the subcontractor to get the proper quotation accordingly for the tender documents.</li><li> Attending the meeting & doing site visit</li><li>Performs all other adhoc activities as and when required.</li><li>Ensure compliance with companies Quality and Environment, Health & Safety policy and procedures.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Infrastructure experience preferred.</strong></li><li><strong>Pre-contract and tenders experience is a must. </strong></li><li>Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Higher in civil engineering or equivalent, construction-related qualifications or other qualified estimation certificates</li><li>Familiar with estimating softwares such as Candy is a major plus </li><li>Well aware of local authority requirements and standard specifications </li><li>Civil Engineer Estimator: 10 years minimum (Required)</li><li>Infrastructure works estimator: 10 years minimum (Required)</li><li>Ability to assess site conditions from physical inspections and interpret surveys and investigations</li><li>Excellent communication and people skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills to provide accurate estimates of projects</li><li>Experience in using computer/estimating software such as ‘Expert’ to analyse data</li></ul>
