<p><strong>We are urgently looking to hire Chief Accountant with the following qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><span>The Chief Accountant is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:</span></p><ul><li><span>Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department.</span></li><li><span>Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.</span></li><li><span>Perform financial analysis and report to management as needed.</span></li><li><span>Preparation of accurate monthly/quarterly management reports and accounts ensuring they are produced on a timely basis. </span></li><li><span>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.</span></li><li><span>Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.</span></li><li><span>Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues, determine budget variances, and report the same to management.</span></li><li><span>Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.</span></li><li><span>Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.</span></li><li><span>Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.</span></li><li><span>Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.</span></li><li><span>Compute taxes and prepare tax returns as per country regulations.</span></li><li><span>Manage cash flow and monitor and handle bank payments and balances.</span></li><li><span>Close monthly accounts as per the deadline including accrual and prepayment entries in the system.</span></li><li><span>Monitor Accounts Payable/Receivable functions with specific responsibility for performing activities related to the monitoring of accurate processing of authorized invoices.</span></li><li><span>Review and sign off monthly/quarterly/period-end reconciliation for all key balance sheet items.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>10+ years post qualification experience</span></li><li><span>Minimum 5 years experience in the same or similar role in UAE, tourism industry experience is a plus.</span></li><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Accounts / Finance</span></li><li><span>Professional qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA)</span></li><li><span>Excellent level of English, written and spoken</span></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of IFRS regulations, including recent updates and changes.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of GL Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Building Chart of Accounts.</span></li><li><span>Based in UAE is a must.</span></li><li><span>Available to join immediately</span></li><li><span>Advanced knowledge of accounting software and programs</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of advanced Excel</span></li><li><span>Highly detail-oriented and organized.</span></li><li><span>Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees. </span></li><li><span>Able to motivate the Team and lead by example.</span></li><li><span>Superior analytical and problem-solving skills</span></li></ul>
