<p><strong>Job Post Description</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Tender Specialist </strong>assists in administering the tendering process for goods and services on behalf of the Project Implementation Team, including vendor communication where requested. Additionally, s/he assists in the development and deployment of Procurement Policies and Procedures and acts as a resource to the Implementation team with respect to tendering and contracting. S/he maintains Tender documentation.</p><p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p>1) Assists with the development and maintenance of standardized tender templates and documentation.</p><p>2) Compiles and maintains a list of qualified vendors, especially as related to planned tenders.</p><p>3) Assists in the preparation of initial tender documentation and coordinates obtaining the required approvals.</p><p>4) Liaises with the User Department on an ongoing basis with respect to Tender requirements and Tender status.</p><p>5) Corresponds with vendors in conjunction with the tender process as required, ie, non-disclosure agreements, confirmation of interest, etc</p><p>6) Assists in preparation and/or review of Tender Documentation Packages comprising of Instructions to Bidders, Contract Form, General Terms Conditions, Bid Forms, etc.</p><p>7) Assembles and maintains internal Procurement documentation relating to the tendering process, including recording management approval relating to tendering and contracting actions.</p><p>8) Maintains tender files and arranges their archiving upon Tender completion Prepares Tenders status reports and expected timelines on a regular basis and when requested.</p><p>9) Prepares correspondences to internal departments, bidders and contractors.</p><p>10) Participates in managing the company’s e-tender ERP software application – including e-tender dictionaries, e-tender templates, document flow, approval workflow, and vendor access.</p><p>11) Assists with the development of procurement software applications for the Project Implementation Team.</p><p>12) Liaises with and coordinates activities with Financial Services In view of the developing and changing needs and opportunities within the company during this start-up phase, this position may perform other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Qualification</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Ø Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, or Business Administration and with a Professional education in Purchasing, or equivalent.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Experience</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Ø Demonstrated experience in Tender processes – RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s.</p><p>Ø Experience in using computerized Procurement applications (ERP) with a good understanding of how they work.</p><p>Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</p><p>Ø Strong knowledge of local business practices and legal processes.</p><p>Ø Demonstrated experience in Tender processes – RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s.</p><p>Ø Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.</p><p>Ø Demonstrated ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.</p><p>Ø Experience in working under stress and responding to deadlines imposed by emergency situations.</p><p>Ø Fluency in written and spoken English.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ProMedEx at a Glance</strong></p><p><span>ProMedEx is a leading medical devices distributor based in the GCC market, representing selected top-notch quality manufacturers of innovative state of the art medical technologies.</span></p><p>Professionally staffed and well-financed with an ambitious marketing strategy, Promedex offers you the key to market penetration & expansion in market share from the Gulf market.</p><p><br></p><p>ProMedEx has a region-wide portfolio plan.
