Job Description
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.</p><p>Accountant’s responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.</p><p>Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.</li><li>Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.</li><li>Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports.</li><li>Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.</li><li>Guide junior accountants and other staff by answering questions and coordinating informational classes.</li><li>Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.</li><li>Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.</li><li>Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.</li><li>Assist with tax audits and tax returns.</li><li>Play a vital part in the company’s financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting.</li><li>10 years of professional accounting experience related to GL or Payable functions</li><li>better if has worked for any of the BIG 4.</li><li>Advanced Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Knowledge of appropriate accounting and financial software packages.</li><li>Familiarity with financial accounting statements.</li></ul><p><br></p>
