The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The Fire Protection Engineer III serves as a technical expert and consultant in the Fire Protection department. They provide assistance and conduct special studies to improve fire protection personnel and facilities. They also act as a representative for the department and participate in internal and external committees. In this role, the engineer will lead the review of engineering design packages for active fire protection systems in various projects, including plants, commercial spaces, and residential projects. They will be involved from project scoping to execution, ensuring compliance with fire protection standards. As part of the Fire Protection Engineering Unit, the engineer provides expert advice and support for fire detection and protection systems across all This Company facilities. They contribute to technical committees and recommend improvements to enhance safety. Their expertise is crucial in addressing issues related to deficient fire protection systems.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead role in reviewing engineering design packages of active fire protection systems for various Company projects <ul> <li>Projects include plants, commercial spaces, and residential projects</li> <li>Projects range from refineries, bulk plants, GOSPs to offices, laboratories, and high-density apartments</li> <li>Involvement in on-shore and off-shore facilities, both new and existing</li> </ul> </li> <li>Fire Protection Engineers in the Fire Protection Engineering Unit are industry experts with extensive experience in fire protection and fire systems engineering</li> <li>Provide proactive specialist advice and support for fire detection and fire protection systems in all This Company facilities</li> <li>Serve on technical committees for corporate and international standards</li> <li>Recommend changes to improve safety in the core business area</li> <li>Offer engineering and specialist advice for issues related to deficient fire protection systems.</li><br></ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Educational Level:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Fire Protection Engineering, or closely related subject</li> <li>Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years</p> </li> <li> <p>Other required technical skills:</p> <ul> <li>Sound working knowledge of chemistry related to fire and hazardous materials</li> <li>Familiarity with fire service hydraulics standards and codes such as NFPA</li> <li>Understanding of salvage and rescue operations</li> <li>Knowledge of hazards in producing, refining, and transporting crude oil and petroleum products</li> <li>Proficiency in incident command systems</li> <li>Excellent command of technical engineering and ability to analyze complex challenges</li> <li>Capability to develop safe and cost-effective solutions</li> <li>Professional Engineering license(s) in Fire Protection (P.E.) preferred.</li></ul></li></ul>
