<p>JOB PURPOSE:<br>The aim is to :<br><br></p><p>• Drive the Metro Trains safely and reliably as per timetable or as per instructions received from the CCP and Drivers Supervisor &amp; Drivers Manager.<br>• Drive the train insuring service delivery to customers (Punctuality, Comfort, Information).<br>• Ensure that the delivery of safe service is achieved under normal and degraded operating conditions.<br>• Implement the operational procedures as stated in the Standard Operating Procedure for emergency situations.<br>RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES<br>Principals accountabilities:<br><br></p><p>• To participate in the safe operation of the Metro line 3.<br>• To apply the appropriate operational standards and rules/regulations in Metro Line 3.<br>• To participate in the service delivery performance targets and expectations set for Metro line 3.<br>• To participate in the investigations of operating incidents.<br>Specific Responsibilities:<br>• To operate trains at grade and undergrand.<br>• To perform train preparations and safety checks as per rules and procedures.<br>• To stable trains when and where required.<br>• To drive trains according to schedules and signaling in the depot and on the mainline.<br>• To drive sweeper trains when required and report any unsafe conditions immediately to CCP<br>• To ensure that the passengers safely embark and disembark on platforms (Boarding, alighting from).<br>• To know and apply safety procedures and rules.<br>• To communicate in real time with CCP, Drivers Supervisors, and Passengers.<br>• To perform first-line maintenance in case of train failure using the procedure booklet.<br>• To act in degraded situations (i.e.: delay, evacuation, cranking of points …) according to the CCP instruction.<br>• To take trains through the Wash Plant and perform any shunt movements when required within the Depot.<br>• Any other duties as assigned by your Drivers Supervisors.<br>ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCE<br>Qualifications:<br>• Technical Diploma / 04 Years Engineering degrees in any discipline (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics).<br>Knowledge:<br>• English language (Good) and local language.<br>• Full involvement in the safety issues (personnel &amp; equipment).<br>• Having strong oral and written communication skills.<br><br></p><p>Required:<br><br></p><p>• Valid driving license.<br>• A medical test will be organized in order to access the capability of the candidate for the job.<br>• Special psychometric tests to access candidate capabilities.<br>• Qualified for driving trains.<br>• Qualified for track access.<br><br></p><p>Experience:<br><br></p><p>• Minimum one year working experience in operation in any industry, supervisory level and have handled a team and/or extensive proven gained in a railway operation or similar environment.<br>• Minimum aged 21 years.<br><br></p><p><br>DESIRED BEHAVIORS<br>• Possess extensive knowledge of railway systems.<br>• High capacity for technical diagnosis and analysis.<br>• Able to adhere to railway rules &amp; regulations.<br>• Able to remain calm and objective particularly during challenging situations.<br>• Capable of giving precise, clear and concise instructions remotely.<br>• Thoroughness in planning and execution.<br>• People friendly attitude and Good relational.<br>• Quality conscious.<br>• Rigorous stable, well balanced, reliable and punctual.<br>• Well-developed written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizing and industrial relation skills.<br>• Ability to anticipate, analyze, identify and resolve problems effectively in accordance with the regulation.<br>• Perseverance.<br>• Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.<br><br></p><p>Other duties and responsibilities might be assigned.<br><br></p><p><br><br><br></p>
