Job Description
<p>Ensure that all operations and projects within KCG comply with the required health and safety standards, requirements and regulations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and implement the annual HSE Plan to support the overall strategic objectives of the company.</li><li>Identify, design and implement strategic HSE projects, as and when required.</li><li>Prepare and Manage the HSE Department budgets.</li><li>Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.</li><li>Mange, develop, evaluate and lead the HSE team to execute the assigned tasks.</li><li>Monitor the activities of the HSE division to ensure the required standards are met including revisions of the SOPs.</li><li>Provide mechanisms to enable the company to consult with employees, contractors and suppliers regarding any suggestions or recommendations to improve the workplace or the SOPs that affect the employees’ safety.</li><li>Ensure all security standards are met in all company locations.</li><li>Develop mechanisms to monitor and record violations related to HSE and ensure proper documentation.</li><li>Provide advice regarding the requirements of the HSE SOPs for all company contracts.</li><li>Document the specific SOPs for projects to avoid injuries and ensure applications of them in coordination with the concerned party.</li><li>Develop plans for conducting random health and safety checks on KCG projects to ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and guidelines.</li><li>Report non-compliance with KCG health and safety policies and guidelines to Management Team along with recommended rectification actions.</li><li>Ensure training employees on health and safety practices and regulations thus ensuring compliance with the required quality health, and safety standards.</li><li>Assess the effectiveness of projects safety analyses or other project risk management methods in controlling high risk activities.</li><li>Review and approve methods developed by the Safety Engineer to manage potential hazardous conditions and practices in systems, equipment, facilities or processes to be used in projects.</li><li>Review reports developed by the Safety Engineer and Safety Inspector indicating the results of all the health and safety checks conducted on KCG projects and operations and provide recommendations for improvement/remedial actions as needed.</li><li>Review the relevant health and safety reports including the incidents that occurred, the site in which the incidents occurred, the recorded time of the incident and approve the most appropriate course of action. </li><li>Ensure the adequate collection of health and safety statistics on a monthly basis and review relevant incident reports to develop remedial actions and thus minimize recurrences.</li><li>Investigate HSE incidents and injuries and submit reports clarifying the reasons and responsible individuals for them.</li><li>Monitor the performance of the HSE division and its employees and submit reports to the concerned parties.</li><li>Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.</li><li>Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.</li><li>Promote incident prevention culture for the benefit of employees and visitors.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any related field.</li><li>5+ years of experience in a related field</li><li>Previous experience in mega projects</li><li>Fluent in English.</li></ul>
