Job Description
<strong>Duties & Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Advisor Air Defense operations/Supply/Equipment Sustainability. Achieve the best quality Kuwait Air Defense operations excellence. System ensures the highest levels of quality in the equipment, spare parts and Kuwait Air Defense (KAO) maintenance personnel.<br><br>Advisor will provide guidance, in depth analysis to Kuwait Air Defense (KAD) leadership.<br><br>Advisor will review Kuwait Air Defense (KAO) Operations/Maintenance provided Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) documentation and lends advice on best path forward.<br><br>The Advisor will be responsible for answering technical questions and providing assistance concerning Patriot system performance, Fire unit and ICC operations, training personnel, System upgrades, maintenance issues and technology protection related issues.<br><br>Advises KADF on Tactical Standard Operations Procedures (TSOP) as well as Site Data books (Tab packets). Assists the KADF with all internal and external communications to include, SPIN, UHF, VHF, fiber optics and data over IP (Link 16 JREAP and others) as well as the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cyber Security and Encryption devices associated with all communications equipment.<br><br>Advises KADF tactical facts of current and potential operational Air Defense systems.<br><br>Advises and assists the KADF in the Air Defense operations, maintenance and supply actions.<br><br>Advise on issues impacting successful completion of the future modernization effort.<br><br>Advise and assists KADF on Shared Early Warning (SEWS), Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), Communications Security (COMSEC), CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN), Tac-Planner Workstation (TPW) and Beyond Line of Site (BLOS) arenas.<br><br>Advise and assist the KADF on the qualification of operational crews to at least the Table VIII set standards.<br><br>The Advisor will accompany KADF personal to the annual CENTCOM Command and Control Interoperability Boards (CCIB) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and any other meetings deemed necessary by Kuwait.<br><br>Advisor will have the capability of talking with current and future Air Defense Vendors (Raytheon, Lockheed, Kongsberg etc.)<br><br>Advisor will work closely with the in country Air Defense Systems contractors and their Technical Assistance (TA”s) teams.<br><br>Advisor will assist as needed to resolve issues on Patriot Major End Items (MEI).<br><br>Experience living or working in an overseas location.<br><br>Advisor will attain at least a “Secret” Level security clearance.<br><br>Advise Kuwait Air Defense (KAO) leadership on equipment status in bound or completion of modification to insure each MEI performs to specified standards, system integration and Checkout (SICO) of modified equipment.<br><br><strong>Minimum Experience<br><br></strong>10 Years Experience Required<br><br><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong>Patriot Missile Knowledge Required
