<p>Note: This position is available for teachers who can provide in-person (face-to-face) teaching at our main branch in Beirut, Msharafieh, which is located in the same building as the Ministry of Labour. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>The British Language Centre (BLC) is a reputable institution specializing in English language (ESL) for students of all levels, ranging from beginners to upper advanced according to the CEFR scale.</em></strong> We are an authorized registration centre for the IELTS Test in collaboration with the British Council, and we have a partnership with Birmingham College, UK.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>We are seeking qualified ESL teachers to deliver English language lessons to students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. The ESL teachers will be responsible for designing lesson plans and activities, utilizing innovative approaches, and fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment for students.</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>If you have a passion for English and education, along with a calm and cheerful demeanour, we would love to meet you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Courses offered at BLC:</em></strong></p><ul><li>General English for Adults</li><li>General English for Youngsters</li><li>TESOL Programme</li><li>IELTS Preparation</li><li>TOEFL Preparation</li><li>SAT / EEE Preparation</li><li>English for Professionals (Business)</li><li>Conversation Classes</li></ul><li><br></li><p><strong><em>Responsibilities:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Conducting activities and lessons based on ESL teaching methodologies</li><li>Encouraging and actively involving students in English conversation</li><li>Motivating students and creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere through the use of humour</li><li>Demonstrating excellent classroom management skills</li><li>Maintaining accurate records of student performance</li><li>Collaborating with the Department Head or Principal as required</li><li>Adhering to standardized guidelines</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Qualifications:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience as an ESL teacher or in a similar role</li><li>Degree in English Language, English Literature, Teaching Diploma, or a related field</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li><li>Calm and resilient personality</li><li>Ability to handle classroom challenges effectively</li><li>Residency in Lebanon</li><li>Ability to provide on-site teaching</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Our Hiring Process:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Successful completion of the interview</li><li>Passing the teaching assessment</li><li>Observing a class in progress (2 sessions – 6 hours)</li><li>Successful completion of the demo session</li></ul>
