<p>Logistics / Procurement professional, Experienced in <strong>Maritime, Offshore, Oil & Gas industries.</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage the entire process in the planning of commodities procurement and supply chain activities inventory control, logistics and distribution, customs, ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.</li><li>Purchasing spare parts, stores and other required materials and services for the vessels after approval of the vessel superintendent.</li><li>Coordinating with the Technical Superintendent for invoices related to the vessel superintendent for final verification.</li><li>Initiating and forwarding of the materials to the vessels.</li><li>Negotiating prices, terms and rebates with suppliers and maintaining accurate record of same.</li><li>Initiating quotations on spare parts, stores etc. as agreed with vessel superintendents and follow up on order confirmations.</li><li>Ordering of spare parts, stores etc. subject to vessel superintendent’s approval and arrange forwarding to the vessels including insurance as required.</li><li>Ensuring that vessel and port agents are notified of deliveries en route for the vessels.</li><li>Preparing and maintaining the departments work procedures.</li><li>Implementing and maintaining the purchase system. Reviewing computerized shipping records and monitoring shipments</li><li>Communicating with carriers and suppliers to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time.</li><li>Providing support with inventory management activities such as unpacking and shelving items and restocking merchandise</li><li>Generating and preparing reports</li><li>Checking and monitoring invoices</li><li>Communicating with vendors</li><li>Computer literacy Ability to work under pressure.</li><li>Ability to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines.</li><li>He/She must also be flexible in their approach to working hours and have professional and courteous manners.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p><ul><li>Diploma in engineering or related qualification in supply chain, warehouse management and inventory; transport and supply chain management and logistics</li><li>Experienced in the maritime industry</li><li>Knowledge in Technical</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul>
