Reporting to the Manager, Student Engagement, the International Education Senior Specialist must possess the skills and expertise necessary to support the Student Engagement Division of the University and fully implementing UDST’s mission and vision.<p><br></p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities: </strong><p><br></p>This position requires an individual with strong listening, interpersonal and communication skills who will support the provision of opportunities to study abroad for UDST students, and provide a high level of service to students and related stakeholders. To promote the benefits of international education experiences and contribute to the development of new relationships and partnerships to facilitate them, in line with the UDST’s strategic plan.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will co-ordinate and administer agreed employee and student placements and projects overseas to enhance and enrich the student experience, including full semester exchanges, international conferences, instructor-led study abroad programs, language immersion training and credit coursework at partner institutions.<p><br></p>The incumbent will collaborate with the Admission and Registration and Student Engagement to promote International Education Programs to prospective and registered students during recruitment on campus activities.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will develop, produce and deliver promotional presentations, materials and publications to inform employees and students, prospective students, families and other relevant stakeholders about international educational opportunities.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will provide support, advice and information to students considering international education and study abroad, to ensure that they make well informed decisions. S/He will also will respond to enquiries and concerns from families and other relevant stakeholders with regard to study abroad opportunities.<p><br></p>The incumbent will maintain communication with students prior to and during their period of study overseas in order to provide support and resolve problems to ensure a positive educational experience and deliver pre-travel sessions and workshops to prepare students and employees for travel.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will collaborate with Program Development and Accreditation Department, Faculty and staff to embed international activities across Schools to ensure that all students have access to relevant opportunities.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will support in the research and development of new study abroad and exchange partnerships and opportunities for students in line with UDST strategy and maintain accurate records of international education activities; conduct and measure contribution to UDST’s strategic initiatives.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will maintain and develop good relationships with current exchange partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and also perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.<p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong>Education and Certifications</strong>:<p><br></p>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration required.<p><br></p>Master’s degree/Professional certification preferred.<p><br></p><strong>Experience:</strong><p><br></p><strong>Minimum 6 Years Of Relevant Experience</strong><p><br></p><strong>Language: </strong><p><br></p>Fluency in written and spoken English language required<p><br></p>Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred<p><br></p><strong>Other Required Skills:</strong><p><br></p>Highly reliable and tactful individual with an outstanding track record of student engagement preferably in a post-secondary institution. A proactive can-do attitude to work, attention to detail, service excellence and good time management is essential. Candidate should be a team player and possess ability to guide the students on career planning also managing student life cycle. Focus on relationship building, process design and efficiency is desirable.
