Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.<p><br></p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p>In the role of Senior Economist, we’ll count on you to:<p><br></p><ul><li> Direct, plan and design research to aid in interpretation of and solution of complex problems with economic relationships</li><li> Conduct economic modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and risk or financial analysis</li><li> Study economic and statistical data in area of specialization</li><li> Devise methods and procedures for collecting and processing data, utilizing knowledge of available sources of data and various econometric and sampling techniques</li><li> Formulate recommendations, policies or plans to aid in market interpretation or solution of economic issues</li><li> Take responsibility for marketing economic consulting services</li><li> Plan and develop project activities with significant impact as needed</li><li> Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and support staff as needed</li><li> Work at local project sites and have regular client contact as needed</li><li> Perform other duties as needed</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Required Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Master’s degree in Economics</li><li> Minimum of 10 years experience including staff management and development, client interaction and proposal writing</li><li> Experience in Excel, Limdep, SAS, SPSS, Eviews and MS Access</li><li> VB programming experience is a plus</li><li> Ability to interact with clients on a regular basis</li><li> An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Why HDR</strong><p><br></p>At HDR, we know work isn’t only about who you work for it’s also about what you do and how you do it.
