These visionary minds and adventurous spirits were drawn by the chance to make history in creating a place of the future from the ground up.<p><br></p><strong>Role purpose</strong><p><br></p>Develop, implement and manage an audit program intended to identify environmental non-compliance and environmental process deviations that present risks to optimal environmental outcomes.<p><br></p><strong>Accountabilities</strong><p><br></p>The <strong>Audit, Risk and Incident Manager </strong>supports the development, implementation and coordination of a highly effective Audit, Risk and Incident Program intended to ensure that project development activities within NEOM are executed in a manner which is fitting for a world-class project of NEOM’s status.<p><br></p><ul><li>Report Audit, Risk and Incident program activities to Director, Compliance, Governance and Corporate Services, Chief Environment Officer and other relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Establish and oversee a high performance audit, risk and incident management function.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Audit</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Establish and oversee an annual environmental audit program utilizing suitably qualified internal and outsourced resources.</li><li>Develop and implement and audit program intended to assure NEOM that regulatory compliance is being achieved by regulated development entities.</li><li>Develop and oversee the execution of environmental audit programs conducted by other environmental functions across the project.</li><li>Develop and oversee the implementation of a program of business process audits, IFC compliance audits,</li><li>Develop and implement audit processes, procedures, checklists, performance metrics and audit training programs.</li><li>Identify thematic, spatial, organizational issues which present operational and enterprise level risk to NEOM.</li><li>Manage a program engagement with responsible stakeholders to ensure that effective Corrective and Prevention Action is systemically implemented to mitigate risks and non-compliance.</li><li></li><li>Report compliance performance and status to internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements</li><li>Present the audit findings to the NEV Department Managers and Directors</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Risk</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain NEOM Environment’s Enterprise Risk Register.</li><li>Engage with NEOM’s Governance Risks and Compliance (GRC) Dept, providing NEV input to their programs, including fraud / enterprise risk; controls development; incident reporting; policy development; etc.</li><li>Build strong working relationships to ensure close alignment between NEV and GRC functions</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Incident</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Establish and oversee a suitably efficient and rapid response incident management model.</li><li>Develop and manage programs for the reporting and investigation of incidents that cause, or have the potential to cause environmental harm.</li><li>Analyze incident data to identify current trends and emergent risks.</li><li>Manage a program of incident corrective actions to ensure that incident root causes are mitigated across the program.</li><li>Provide incident and remediation response advice to NEOM proponents, and where required, lead the environmental and sustainability regulatory (non-compliance notices, fines, and prosecutions) response processes, in conjunction with other relevant parties.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills And Experience</strong><p><br></p>The <strong>Audit, Risk and Incident Manager </strong>should have a proven and successful track record in environmental project management of major construction projects across an array of economic sectors.<p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in environmental project management of major construction projects across an array of economic sectors.</li><li>Experience of mega-project environmental program management at a client (representative) level is essential.</li><li>Masters degree in Environmental Sciences (or related discipline).</li><li>Excellent leadership and management skills is essential.</li><li>Strong technical environmental skills across terrestrial, marine and coastal environments</li><li>Experience of ISO14001 implementation is essential.</li><li>Lead auditor qualifications and experience is required.</li><li>Experience in the development of reporting tools is required.</li><li>Experience in managing PMC activities is required</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>MSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.</li><li>CEnv</li><li>IEMA Lead Auditor or equivalent</li></ul>
