<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>JOB OVERVIEW<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>The OB GYN consultant will provide professional Obstetrical and Gynecological medical and surgical services for patients. He/she will supervise and coordinate obstetric/gynecologic services provided for patients. He/she will supervise and evaluate medical and nursing staff of OB/GYN Department, and perform medically related and administrative duties as required.<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><br><br></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Clinical Responsibilities<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Provides required patient care and management in the field of Gynecology/Gynecologic Oncology in accordance with standards of medical care laid down by the hospital.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Provides consultation and comprehensive management of patients with gynecologic cancer including ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer and vulvar cancer.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care, administers chemotherapy and provides an outstanding degree of continuity of care for patients.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Provides important supportive services such as management of medical or surgical complications from treatment, complications of the cancer, and hospice referral.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Provides treatment for complicated general gynecological conditions.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Administrative Responsibilities<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Undertakes the administrative duties assigned by Head of Section or Chairman of the department.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Participates in all mandatory departmental activities and serves on departmental and hospital committees, as required.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the hospital.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Abides by the current hospital and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations and policies and keeps updated of any changes that might occur.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Performs any other related duties, as assigned.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Research Responsibilities<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Promotes medical research initiatives in the Department in compliance with the guidelines of the Research Advisory Council.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Education Responsibilities<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Promotes the provision of Postgraduate Training Programs. Continuing Medical Education activities and other required educational and training courses; and ensures the availability of mechanisms for evaluating and reporting such activities.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Promotes the mentoring and training of junior staff, trainees and medical students by Staff</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Performs other related duties, responsibilities, and assignments as required.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.</span></span></span></span></span></span></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED<br><br></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of required education period of training in specialty and/or subspecialty</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>North American Board, UK Board, Europe Board, or Australian Board Certification</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Valid BLS</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Saudi Commission for Health Specialties registration card preferred</span></span></span></span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Seven (7) Years of training in specialty or subspecialty plus postgraduate training experience must be equal to or exceed seven (7) years’ experience in the subspecialty</span></span></span></span></span></span>.</li></ul>
