<p><strong>Production Manager</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Are you an experienced and enthusiastic publishing expert&nbsp;with a passion for supporting open science and scholarly communications ecosystems? Look no further!&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a highly experienced&nbsp;<strong>Publishing</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Production Manager</strong>&nbsp;to help manage and develop our open access publishing services.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Being a part of the Knowledge E family means becoming part of something bigger: inspiring positive change in the world while growing in your career.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>This multi-faceted role, managing a part of a rapidly-growing division, not only ensures you’ll never be bored but also offers huge career development potential.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Leading a dedicated team, you will manage the daily operations of our open access publishing services, collaborate with leading solutions providers on key development projects, form partnerships with the wider Open Access publishing community to develop regional not-for-profit initiatives and work with a wide range of clients.&nbsp;</p><p>Some of your responsibilities will include:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Managing the production team (comprised of in-office and remote workers)</li><li>Overseeing day-to-day publishing operations (with responsibility for all stages of the production, publication, and indexing workflows)</li><li>Forging new partnerships with solutions providers and&nbsp;not-for-profit organisations&nbsp;</li><li>Seeking out potential hosting and revenue opportunities</li><li>Keeping abreast of new industry developments and identifying those suitable for adaptation and application to our workflows</li><li>Serving as project lead, managing client and provider relations for Author Support Services and Grant Proposal Review Services</li><li>Working with editorial boards to help each publication reach its full potential</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>You are</strong></p><p><br></p><p>A&nbsp;flexible,&nbsp;organised, and proactive person, who is&nbsp;comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team. You&nbsp;have no trouble staying organised and juggling multiple tasks at a time and are highly detail-oriented.&nbsp;At the same time, you&nbsp;are a strategic thinker, able to balance attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum job qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li><span>Comprehensive knowledge of all Crossref processes and solutions</span></li><li>Expert user of&nbsp;the&nbsp;OJS platform (and other PKP services)</li><li>In-depth&nbsp;knowledge of the Open Access publishing sector</li><li>Extensive experience managing publishing production workflows</li><li>Experience managing a team</li><li>Effective cross-departmental&nbsp;communication skills</li><li>Experience&nbsp;in&nbsp;managing client relations</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired extras</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Fluent Arabic language speaker</li></ul><p><br></p>
