Collaborating with customers to identify, develop, accelerate, time to value is critical.<p><br></p><ul><li> This job requisition is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsored by VMware.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?</strong><p><br></p>Analyze, interpret, and recommend policy changes from a security perspective:<p><br></p><ul><li>Within 30 days of employment, become competent with Carbon Black security products, guidelines, best practices, and standard operations.</li><li>Within 90 days of employment, you will be deploying Carbon Black security infrastructure and be responsible to resolve customer technical issues through diligent research, duplication, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Within 180 days you will be in a position to work on escalations and lead implementation sessions with customers.</li><li>Within 360 days along with the above, you will be reviewing project requirements and putting together design solutions which will be used from Carbon Black security deployment perspective. You will be a self-starter and learn into projects until the best solution is found.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?</strong><p><br></p>Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments:<p><br></p><ul><li> You will work closely with Support, Customer Success, and Project Management performing day-to-day operations for the Security Practice portfolio.</li><li>Provide in-depth onsite and remote technical guidance to new VMware customers to ensure a successful implementation.</li><li>Collect and document technical requirements from customers and configure the Carbon Black Security software to operate within the capabilities of the application for those requirements.</li><li>Review the configuration decisions that are available to customers and provide expertise and guidance on best practices.</li><li>Proficient with scripting languages (Python &amp; PowerShell preferred), interacting with API’s, and creating automation.</li><li>Up to 50% travel meeting with and presenting to customers and for internal and customer events/meetings.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?</strong><p><br></p>The hiring manager for this role is <strong>Jeff Peterson, Senior Manager, Security Practice</strong> . His expertise has been built from the frontlines with roles in technical solutions consultancy, program management and most recently in management of a consultant team for the past four years.<p><br></p>Jeff’s management philosophy is about encouraging everyone on the team to be independent thinkers and not feel like he is looking over their shoulder. The team works flexible hours, arranging schedules to fit their needs and taking consideration for weekly phone calls with colleagues. This role is hybrid with a mix of working from home as well as customer locations.
