<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>The purpose of the Sr. GIS Analyst role is to support the development and implementation of an integrated and innovative GIS data and application strategy within the ENOWA DSO, with the goal of realizing the benefits of data integration and supporting the ISO55001 based Asset Management implementation.<p><br></p>The role involves leading DSO GIS application development, managing GIS implementation projects, performing advanced analysis on the ENOWA DSO network, managing data and information workflows, administering, and configuring GIS databases, working closely with ENOWA GIS to develop<p><br></p>and maintain GIS applications and services, and promoting GIS awareness and capabilities across the organization through training and education.<p><br></p>Additionally, the role includes surveying assets, maintaining data quality, generating and automating reports, archiving land use permits, and supporting the DSO team and developing GIS data benefit realization use cases. The Sr. GIS Analyst will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work of other GIS analysts and ensuring that all GIS-related activities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><strong> GIS Strategy and Projects </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Supporting the development of an integrated and innovative GIS data and application development/deployment geospatial strategy to support the ISO55001 based Asset Management implementation within the ENOWA DSO. </li><li> Assist in managing ENOWA DSO GIS implementation projects. </li><li> Frequently identify and transform ENOWA DSO business problems into geo-solutions to leverage the business values of GIS eco-system. </li><li> Develop DSO GIS processes and documentation for contractors for GIS data capture and reporting. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Data Management, Analysis, Visualization </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Performs advance analysis on the ENOWA DSO network and generate reports based on the results using location intelligence technologies. </li><li> Deploy and manage the data and information management workflows and processes to build the reliable, sustainable and trusted system of records. </li><li> Assist in Utility scale data model development based on Utility Asset Management principles. </li><li> Accountable for the data update and registration of spatial and non-spatial attributes of the ENOWA DSO network to the enterprise geodatabase after performing the quality assurance and control across to different data sources. </li><li> Responsible for the archiving of land use permits (LUP) requests in the GIS database so that asset conflicts can be identified. </li><li> Maintain the data quality of the data flows from the ENOWA integrated systems to GIS system. </li><li> Design powerful and creative data visualization information products to transform the geospatial data into management information for decision making. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> GIS System, Integration, and database Administration </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Undertake GIS ground asset surveys for DSO as well as administer, configure, and monitor DSO GIS databases. </li><li> Assist in the development of Mobile tools and Smart Grid services via tools/adapters to integrate GIS data with SCADA, power system analysis, ADMS and asset management tools enabling the IT/OT integration. </li><li> Manages escalation to ENOWA GIS the IT infrastructure requirements serving the ENOWA GIS. </li><li> Configure and enhance ArcGIS Utility Network to ensure compatibility of GIS as system of records. </li><li> Assist in development of various levels of technical and management reporting dashboards. </li><li> Lead the day-day management, operation and trouble-shooting of the GIS systems to ensure minimum down-time. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> GIS Awareness </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Undertake effective stakeholder engagement GIS capabilities across the ENOWA. </li><li> Deliver focused training to empower end-users to get the most of GIS capabilities. </li><li> Provide frequent awareness sessions exposing GIS Technologies and application developments. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in power sector with at least 2-4 years’ experience in utility/DSO scale GIS field. </li><li> Proven experience in the establishment of completely new and comprehensive troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of utility scale GIS system. </li><li> Experience in ESRI ArcGIS Platform [ArcGIS Desktop (Pro), ArcGIS Enterprise, and Esri field operation mobile apps]. </li><li> Proven highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. </li><li> Proven track record of delivering outcomes with strong ability to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic and changing environment, with a focus on efficiency, enhanced multitasking abilities, combined with a β€œcan-do” mentality with abilities to translate business problems into geo solutions. </li><li> Strong innovation drive towards automated and AI-led platform technologies. </li><li> Proven track record of developing quality reporting systems with excellent analytical skills. </li><li> Skilled in using Structural Query Language (SQL) and Python. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelors or equivalent degree on Geographic Information System, Remote Sensing, Surveying and/or similar to geospatial analysis. </li><li> Post graduate degree in project management will be advantageous. </li><li> Professional ArcGIS Utility Network Certificate is preferred.</li></ul>
