Structural Design Engineer
Job Description
<p><strong>Major Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design all types of concrete & steel buildings according to international codes, and prepare calculations including calculation reports and drawings.</li><li>Compliance of structural design with international and American codes (ACI 318-12, UBC97, ASCE07-05, IBC2006) and all local authorities’ requirements in the UAE region.</li><li>Develop conceptual design, schematics, structural layout, a 3D model, and detailed construction drawings for every project stage.</li><li>Clarify the doubts/queries on structural designs and drawings on request of either client/proof consultant/user department.</li><li>Monitor and assist junior structural engineers and draftsmen in their day-to-day design and drafting work.</li><li>Revise projects, and make the necessary coordination with other engineers in different disciplines (architects, MEP, etc.)</li><li>Be able to review structural site submittals and shop drawings.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering</li><li>Proficient user of design/drawing tools (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, PROKON, AutoCAD, Revit) and MS Office.</li><li>With a minimum of 7 total work experience</li><li>With relevant experience in UAE</li></ul>
