<strong><u>Job Description<br><br></u></strong>Job Posting<br><br>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented <strong>Commercial Manager</strong> to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all contract activity for the Utilities Division, a major sector for a major project. Travel to the client’s offices or to the project site will be required during the life of the contract.<br><br><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing<br></u></strong><ul><li>Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of commercial management and contract administration. </li><li>Collaborates with the client and third parties (including State owned entities) to ensure thorough and timely contract management practices</li><li>Collaborates with engineering, technical and project management teams to ensure proper contract administration, payments certification, variations administration and claims management. </li><li>Proactive approach to risk identification and change management. </li><li>Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.</li><li>Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.</li><li>Draft high quality and professional contractual notices</li><li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Education/Experience<br><br></u></strong>Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field and typically 15+ years of prime contract administration experience within a large international engineering and construction firm is required.<br><br><strong><u>What Required Skills You’ll Bring<br></u></strong><ul><li>Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and understanding of FIDIC based prime contracts predominantly in the Utilities sector. </li><li>Incumbent must possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration (such as Aconex).</li><li>Proven ability to perform in a management capacity is also required</li><li>Proven ability to manage and interface with clients and third parties<br><br></li></ul><strong><u>Minimum Clearance Required To Start<br><br></u></strong>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
