Job Description

<p>Duties and Tasks of a Technical Product Manager</p><p>Your primary duties are to manage the development and lifecycle of a technology product, from conception to retirement. In addition, your responsibility requires you to work closely with stakeholders, including developers, designers, and business owners, to ensure that the product meets the organization’s business and technical requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>You must have a working knowledge of product management, project management, software development, and product marketing.</p><p><br></p><p>Duties, tasks, and responsibilities: </p><p>Oversee and manage the software development lifecycle.</p><p>Collaborate with the product owner to develop a product vision for the new product.</p><p>Manage the development process and the team members to ensure a quick and efficient product launch.</p><p>Develop a complete product requirements document as well as templates for reference.</p><p>Work on prioritizing new features based on usability, functionality, and user experience.</p><p>Help determine a proper pricing model based on what other tech companies and startups charge for similar software.</p><p>Maintain a complete backlog of all the activities, processes, and workflows of all the relevant teams, stakeholders, and external influencers and consultants.</p><p><br></p><p>Skills &amp; Qualifications</p><p>A bachelor’s degree in software development, computer science, or product management.</p><p>A master’s degree is preferred.</p><p>Proven (5-10 years) work experience as a product manager, software developer, or project manager is required.</p><p>Certifications from reputable institutions and associations in product management or software-related fields are necessary.</p><p>Extensive knowledge of various product functions, the software development process, and product management.</p><p>Should be able to work with an agile methodology.</p><p>Should be familiar with critical product concepts such as the MVP (Minimum Viable Product).</p><p>Should be able to manage and participate in the Daily Scrum and Sprint Planning.</p><p>A deep understanding of the product vision, product launch, and other concepts is required.</p><p>Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder communication. That includes working with cross-functional teams and managing all of them simultaneously.</p><p>Must have excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.</p><p>The ability to develop status reports for external and executive stakeholders.</p>
