Job Description

<ul><li>Principal Accountabilities: (the 6-9 main areas of responsibility)</li><li>Performs and evaluates road safety conditions, audits and check up on corrective actions and closures as needed.</li><li>Prepares process or Method Statements for Traffic Management plans and associated Risk Assessments</li><li>Affirms that all the traffic site works are done according to the approved design and in coordination with execution teams.</li><li>Day and Night time supervisions of Traffic Management team, traffic Control Foremen and his traffic control helpers.</li><li>Carrying out traffic studies and investigations to identify network defects in the areas of traffic operations, congestions and traffic management.</li><li>Preparation and overall improvement in Traffic Control Devices (Road Signs, Road Markings, Cats eyes, Delineators etc.) to improve and enhance safety of road users, drivers and pedestrians (Within the construction site).</li><li>Monitor all temporary road networks on the construction site to ensure safety. Including intersections, speed limits, visibility, signage, etc</li><li>Proposals for improvement of road safety on the roads.</li><li>Assess the area to conduct evaluation &amp; measures to avoid the accidents.</li><li>Coordination with site management, Consultants, Sub- contractors, Administrative Team and with local authorities</li><li>Carrying out road safety audits for the temporary traffic diversions.</li><li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be directed from Traffic &amp; Detour Manager</li><li> Attending and managing all traffic management coordination meetings with site management, Safety department, clients and other stakeholders. </li><li>Report the daily Traffic control activities in the format or through the system. </li><li>Optimise the Traffic materials resource utilization with maintaining the productivity standards(minimize idleness, wastage, repetition etc),</li><li>Key Performance Indicators: (How will success in the job be measured? These should relate to the Principal Accountabilities )</li><li>Traffic Safety</li><li>Minimal to Zero Range for Road Accident or any traffic Incidents</li><li>Service Level with Quality</li><li>Business Impact: (What impact does the role have in terms of the level of problems faced and the level of freedom to take action?)</li><li>Identify Issues that impacts in the project and escalate to management for action plan</li><li>Key Relationships: (What are the key internal and external relationships necessary for achievement of the job accountabilities)</li></ul><p><br></p><u>Internally </u><p><br></p><ul><li>Relationships with Construction Manager.</li><li>Relationship with Project Manager.</li><li>Relationship with Senior, Engineer Construction Civil.</li><li>Relationship With other technical department for Project related follow-up.</li><li>Relationship with procurement Team. </li></ul><p><br></p><u>Externally</u><p><br></p><ul><li>Relationship with Project Consultant</li><li>Relationship with Subcontractors</li><li>Relationship with suppliers</li><li>Authorities: (Not-financial Authorities)</li><li>Authorization to sign Receiving Notes, Delivery notes for project related materials.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Required Academic Qualification</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Specification</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Technical</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Degree</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Bachelor Degree in Civil</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Years of Experience</li><li>Technically oriented degree</li><li>Min 3 years’ experience in Site Execution &amp; Project Management</li><li>Skills and Competencies (What is required for fully acceptable performance in the job?)</li><li>Goods Technical Knowledge</li><li>Able to use Autocad / Civil 3D</li><li>Well knowledge in Microsoft Office.</li><li>QA/ QC Process</li><li>Able to use emails and communicate with regions</li><li>Knowledge of English / Arabic<br><br></li></ul>
