Job Description
<strong><u>Job Specific Skills</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Conversant with all aspects of safety with high voltage installations. </li><li>IR Thermography: Shall have certification in Thermography Level-1 by an accredited institute.</li><li>Shall have certification and undergone required training for their respective fields. </li><li>Shall be aware of all safety aspects and risks. </li><li>Shall have sound knowledge of various types of PD detecting methods as required by the contract. </li><li>Should have Knowledge of Testing data analysis, identify abnormalities, and give recommendation on basis of results. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Job Purpose</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Online/Offline Condition Monitoring of Electrical Distribution assets. </li><li> Should perform IR thermography and Partial Discharge of Transformer, switchgear, RMU, feeder pillars, Package units etc. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Carry out Partial Discharge /Infrared Thermography measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition. </li><li>Supervision of the site crew and ensure that work is carried out as per approved method statement. </li><li>In case of abnormalities in results, prepare urgent reports to Team Leader. </li><li>Ensure prevention of damage to plant & equipment of KM occasioned by Contractor’s work. </li><li>Carry out all the required measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition. </li><li>Understanding and applying the project Plan in the execution of the work. </li><li>Conduct site progress inspections accordingly reports to be submitted on the defined time frame. </li><li>Identifying system conditions that are abnormal, to determining their cause, and to recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Executing work in a manner compliant with the project budget and schedule.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Key Performance Indicators</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Reliability </li><li>Quality output</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Internal</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Communication and Working Relationships:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Project Engineer </li><li>Team Leader </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>External</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Operations team </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Qualifications, Experience And Skills</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Academic Qualifications and Certifications:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or minimum Three-year Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, university, or college acceptable to KM. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Experience</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>5 years in electrical transmission and distribution substations.</li></ul>
