<strong>Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>The purpose of the position has two phases:<p><br></p>Design phase:<p><br></p><ul><li> Design and develop training and implementation of processes, interfaces, and Terminal systems. </li><li> Support and evaluate implementation of processes flows. </li></ul><p><br></p>Operational Phase:<p><br></p><ul><li> Manage and monitor the execution of terminal processes and responsible for the continuous improvement of water and landside processes </li><li> Responsible for Container terminal operation during the shift delivering high productivity and cost-efficient operation keeping focus on safety of personnel and equipment’s </li><li> Responsible for the continuous improvement projects for water and landside operational processes at NEOM’s T1 Container Terminal </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p>Role &amp; Responsibilities<p><br></p>Design Phase<p><br></p><ul><li> Participate in defining and implementing efficiently safe working practices for all operational flows to L3 level, with some L4 (SOP’s, WI, Visual Aids, etc.) for both land and water side operations </li><li> Define process flows and procedures </li><li> Define best practices within his role and responsibilities </li><li> Actively participate in the implementation of GOS in its different phases </li><li> Actively participate in the implementation of the TOS in its different phases </li><li> Actively participate in the implementation of the “satellite” terminal operational systems (DGPS, RMS, RFID, Remote controlled operations, etc.) </li><li> Participate in the development, testing and implementation of functional, integration, stress, performance, regression, and user acceptance tests </li></ul><p><br></p>Operational Phase<p><br></p><ul><li> Control and monitor the execution of terminal processes during operations to detect gaps or failure in the processes and follow up until the solution </li><li> Accountable for executing and achieving Operations’ set KPI daily and informing the Operations Management of issues or unsafe actions that affect or may affect operations </li><li> Participate in developing the operating model of the operations function and regularly review it to maximize utilization of available human capital and optimize operational effectiveness </li><li> Maintain and control the operations function process and procedures in line with BPM requirements </li><li> Identify opportunities for resolution during exceptions </li><li> Report and compliment business intelligence data gathering and reporting all information in a complete and accurate way following internal standards </li><li> Manage exceptions during operations </li><li> Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for health and safety at work </li><li> Report and escalate all exceptions in due time to the competent functions </li><li> Collaborate with all internal functions to deliver the best productivity and work quality </li><li> Manage the Team and create opportunities for development </li><li> Create Development plans for all Team members under your management </li><li> Build a healthy work environment within the Team and cross functional </li><li> Collaborate with all internal stake holders for Vessel, Yard, Gate, Supply Chain &amp; Logistics and CUSTOMS related activities </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><strong> Knowledge, Skills, and Experience </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> This position requires a professional, standardized approach to work and leadership of others </li><li> Strong communication and planning skills </li><li> Expertise and solid understanding of conventional and semiautomated container terminal operations </li><li> TOS experience for container handling </li><li> Previous experience defining TOS requirements, O&amp;A, implementation, and training others </li><li> Lean/6 Sigma qualifications at Yellow Belt or higher </li><li> Business process experience in port operations </li><li> Strong change management skills, and stakeholder engagement </li><li> Ability to adapt to dynamic, ever-changing environments </li><li> Strong Verbal and written English language skills </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree/preferably master’s degree in port and/or terminal management, or related business studies </li><li> Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the container handling operations as Process Controller, Planner or Exception Handler</li></ul>
